Re: RIP Rowdy Roddy Piper
Last night my son got to meet his boyhood idol, Mick Foley.
He's also taking next week off to go on a wraslin cruise.

Re: RIP Rowdy Roddy Piper
Alright folks. A few things of interest for those who post in this thread.
If you aren’t listening to Arn Anderson’s podcast you really should be. Some great stories and insights about things you probably remember. Arn is one of my all time favorites as he was a Horseman and he’s a Georgia boy.
Arn’s podcast is cohosted by Conrad Thompson who is married to one of Ric Flair’s daughters. He also cohosts podcasts with Eric Bischoff and Bruce Pritchard (Brother Love if you ever watched any WWF in the eighties. I tried not to watch that yankeee wrestling).
Also, if you aren’t watching the Dark Side of the Ring series you need to. Just watched the one about New Jack yesterday and boy howdy was it crazy. The stuff Jim Cornette was doing in Smokey Mountain Wrestling with The Gangstas in Tennessee and Kentucky in the mid nineties was unreal. That part alone is worth watching it. I won’t give the whole thing away but this was typical of one of their promos, “I wanna give a shout out to my boy OJ Simpson. Keep up the good work, dawg! That’s two less we gotta worry about!”

Sped thru the first 2 episodes of DSOTR last night. Good stuff! Vince McMahon is a dickhole.Cole Younger wrote:Alright folks. A few things of interest for those who post in this thread.

Re: RIP Rowdy Roddy Piper
Anyone watching this? We’ve been on it from the start. Certainly flawed but still pretty entertaining. The main characters are not acted all that well but the supporting cast is strong & does most of the heavy-lifting. Can’t help but think how great a show like this could be if it were HBO or Showtime in the creating end, but until that happens this is what we’ve got

Admin probably should retitle this thread as the rasslin’ thread or whatever you want to call the place for references to the squared circle

Went to AEW in Nashville a couple weeks ago. Second of their shows I’ve been to. Such a breath of fresh air in the industry.
Turn it up to 10 and rip off the knob
Re: RIP Rowdy Roddy Piper
It was the fifth AEW PPV I've gone to (all four All Outs in Chicago and the first Forbidden Door there) and I would probably only put it behind All Out 2021. It was a killer show.Sterling Bigmouth wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 7:28 pmWent to AEW in Nashville a couple weeks ago. Second of their shows I’ve been to. Such a breath of fresh air in the industry.
