I listened to all the Creedence albums yesterday morning. That's some serious touchstone music for me.
Also listening to the new Waylon Payne and the newest Brent Cobb a good bit.

Been on a Creedence binge the past several days. Fantastic band! Fogerty's howl & signature guitar playing and that fucking rhythm section. Burned white hot for five years and seven records, then were gone.

i think his self-titled album from 1976-ish is damn near as good as the CCR stuff.

I'm outta breath & my daughters will never look at me the same after the air guitar solo I just unleashed to "Pagan Baby."

I can’t hear Pagan Baby without seeing CtK in full air guitar mode

i've tried to think of a reason how "Effigy" didn't land on either CCR Chronicles I or II but so far have come up empty.

Couldn't agree more. Top Ten CCR:
1. Pagan Baby
2. Ramble Tamble
3. Effigy
4. Long as I Can See the Light
5. Keep on Chooglin'
6. Walking on the Water
7. Run Through the Jungle
8. (Wish I Could) Hideaway
9. Commotion
10. Wrote a Song for Everyone
I also have a half-baked comparison to the loose similarities between Creedence and Black Sabbath that I need to pull together the next time I'm drunk.

Awesomeness! Fantastic Voyage is absolutely stunning. Backing band on Fashion mostly from Bowie's last touring band.

Effigy is great, but I think, frankly, that the Uncle Tupelo version blows the CCR original out of the water
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

Those are a couple of my favorite Bowie tunes. Great covers.

Effigy is my favorite Fogerty song. So appropriate for these times.
