Unreleased songs from The Unraveling sessions
If I remember correctly, Patterson said they only released about half the music they recorded during The Unraveling Sessions. Maybe they should polish up the leftovers & put them out. If the tracks are basically done wouldn't be that tough. Could generate a little cash for the band & give us something new to complain about, haha.

Re: Unreleased songs from The Unraveling sessions
My recollection is that they intended to release two records in 2020, but the Pandemic put the kibosh on that plan. All up in the air now.
I’d have a lot of nerve to go feigning shock and outrage/If I'd been my example I’d be worse

1 can & would hope!

Well, at the very least I would presume that they cut Welcome 2 Club XIII.
Some Patterson songs that I would guess MAYBE got cut (Gonna Come Get Me, Scott's Sister, Last Hope)
There are also some random songs that got played live over the past few years that haven't shown up on an album, but I would kinda lean towards them not being recorded, since they got played live a few times, and then sorta quitely dropped (The Distance, Forged in Hell and Heaven Sent, 218 to Denver)

For those that did not see, Sea Island Lonely from the Unraveling sessions was released on Bandcamp the other week.

I'd be surprised if at least some of those havent been recorded? May well be enough material for another volume of The Fine Print out there.Tyler wrote: ↑Sun Jul 26, 2020 11:27 pmWell, at the very least I would presume that they cut Welcome 2 Club XIII.

Re: Unreleased songs from The Unraveling sessions
My assumption was that the darker material mostly went onto The Unraveling and they were hoping to be able to come up with some more tunes to add to a more positive follow up.
Think thats pretty much what Go Go Boots was? They had most of it during the Big To Do sessions then were able to add a few more songs to round out a gothic/noir/country/soul record.
Hopefully the next DBT album will be a party record to celebrate no more Trump and no more unraveling.

Oh, there's also Sarah's Flame, which is the B-side of the Unraveling RSD single.
Re: Unreleased songs from The Unraveling sessions
So, per the press release they cut 18 songs in Memphis
The songs that made the album, obviously
1. Rosemary With A Bible And A Gun
2. Armageddon's Back In Town
3. Slow Ride Argument
4. Thoughts And Prayers
5. 21st Century USA
6. Heroin Again
7. Babies In Cages
8. Grievance Merchants
9. Awaiting Resurrection
Releases we know of
10. The Unraveling
11. Sarah's Flame
12. Sea Island Lonely
So that leaves six songs "free"
13. Welcome 2 Club XIII

I wouldn't bet against Patterson's song about Canadian customs going on the next one..Tyler wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2020 1:57 pmSo, per the press release they cut 18 songs in Memphis

I wouldn't be shocked to see people who can't play out finding a way to record. Lost time is not found again.
