Re: New Braunfels TX - Gruene Hall
I took hardly any shots and this is the only one even remotely worth sharing. From Saturday (night 2)

Group photo from Saturday night. Don't recall who took the photo but many thanks!
I like to call this one, "Where's Bill?"

My favorite thing Saturday was the walk out music.
Don't hurt people, and don't take their stuff.

I was told that the stage had been moved forward a few feet over time- back in the day the band/artist was underneath that overhang. It’s just a classic old school Texas dance hallZip City wrote:What an odd/interesting looking stage

Gruene Hall was built in 1878. Most of what you are seeing in the photo is original, even the old advertising signs. Very, very little has changed in that place over time. It is a pretty special spot to catch a show.whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:I was told that the stage had been moved forward a few feet over time- back in the day the band/artist was underneath that overhang. Yep. Place wasn’t intended to be a performance hall. Stage was functional enough for a band to play live music so that the people could dance. That was the functionpearlbeer wrote:Gruene Hall was built in 1878. Most of what you are seeing in the photo is original, even the old advertising signs.
