Re: Neverending & in perpetuity 3dd Fantasy Football thread
hey - looking at the league settings, i guess we are NOT going to start two QBs as was previously suggested???
this is kind of important to know before the draft.

Re: Neverending & in perpetuity 3dd Fantasy Football thread
not only can't i figure out times zone, basic calendar reading skills elude me too... i thought the draft was tonight, not tmrw. so i'll be in ireland and will be ready to drop some draft science on your heads tmrw.

Glad you’ll be able to join us, tinnitus! If I recall correctly, you did pretty damn good with an auto drafted roster.

Re: Neverending & in perpetuity 3dd Fantasy Football thread
I definitely drafted for myself last year but I did get lucky a fair bit too. Here's to 2019!
Re: Neverending & in perpetuity 3dd Fantasy Football thread
It has been a few years since an auto draft team won the league, but it has happened.
Don't hurt people, and don't take their stuff.
Re: Neverending & in perpetuity 3dd Fantasy Football thread
So are we starting two QBs or one? Tinnitus (who seems a little cocky if you ask me) is right, the league settings still say one. I'm okay either way.

Re: Neverending & in perpetuity 3dd Fantasy Football thread
and i just realized that the West Coasters in this league are fucking me... it'll be 1AM GMT when the draft starts... you expect a jet-lagged REIGNING CHAMP to either stay up that late, or set an alarm?
this is a big conspiracy driven by Clams, right?

as a first-timer, this league is about as (un)organized as I expected...
We got messed up minds for these messed up times...
Re: Neverending & in perpetuity 3dd Fantasy Football thread
Isn't the only open issue whether we are starting 1 QB or 2? I'm good either way, let's just get the decision made and update the league set-up as necessary.phungi wrote:as a first-timer, this league is about as (un)organized as I expected...
And ain't no way I'm finishing 8th for a third consecutive year. That just isn't possible.

We are still running with 1 QB. I believe it is default scoring for Yahoo, with the exception of return yardage for kick returns.Mr. B wrote:Isn't the only open issue whether we are starting 1 QB or 2? Also, I posted this on the message board for our league...
All 8 teams agree to pay the league champion of the season, $20 or beer!
If you'd like a shot at organizing, I have no problem giving up the commissioner reigns, phungi.

i am exhausted and going to sleep. hopefully my draft preference changes i made work, if not i'll have a kicker and a defense by round 5.

Led by a Pair of Chiefs, Tinnitus photography Have a Great Team if the Goal is to Finish Dead Last
Yay for Autodraft! I have two kickers and two defenses.
Re: Neverending & in perpetuity 3dd Fantasy Football thread
I didn't want Zeke at #2, I logged in and 8:01 and it had already autopicked him for me. I wish I'd have gotten Kamara or McCaffery at that spot. Overall, looks like another good league, can't wait until tomorrow night.
Re: Neverending & in perpetuity 3dd Fantasy Football thread
So it looks like my dream of moving up to 7th place will have to wait until next year, at least according to Yahoo:
"Despite getting the No. 4 overall pick, Mr. B's Bombers drafted a roster that may struggle to put up wins. Opponents could enjoy beating them frequently, as this team is projected to finish 8th in NineBullets - DBT fans"

That would be me. I'll do whatever it takes to defend my back-to-back 8th place finishing.Clams wrote:Who's got AB?
Hey, how was I to know that Brown might have issues of this type? It's not like he has a history of this stuff.

Fuck AB.
Nobody would put up with his shit if he didn’t run like the wind and catch anything thrown his way.

True that. But when New England signs Brown and leads me to a FF championship, all if forgiven.

Re: Neverending & in perpetuity 3dd Fantasy Football thread
From up on his high horse, phungi wrote:Twas the first week of Football, when all through the league
Few hoped of winning, call it fatigue
The rosters were set, post-draft with care,
In hopes that the victory soon would be theirs.
The HeAthens lay soiled all snug in their beds,
While visions of six-packs danced in their heads.
With the losers all paying, who’d give a crap,
Just give me fine lager, and a sweet winter’s nap.
When Monday awoke there arose such a clatter,
They all grabbed their phones to see what was the matter.
Up in the standings, phungi rose like a flash,
Tore up their high hopes and stole their hop stash.
Despite Mayfield-Beckham’s disastrous show
phungi stared down the standings, at the huge mess below.
When, what to his wondering eyes should appear,
But sad list of posers, all silent, in fear
Perhaps a wire waiver, they’ll tried to be quick,
They’ll learn from experience that phungi’s a dick.
More rapid than DeSean to his roster they’ll come,
While phungi postures and calls them all dumb.
"Now, Saquon! now, Cooper! now, Mixon and Engram!
On, Odell! On, Mayfield! on, Wil Lutz and Ekeler!
To the top of the standings! to the top of it all!
Now dash all their hopes! Dash away all!"
phungi sprang to his keyboard, to his league gave the finger,
Dropped a fart that he hoped in their minds it would linger.
They heard him exclaim, while seeing their teams were a sham,
“Fuck all you HeAthens, don’t blame me, just blame Clams"
