June/July shows: Brooklyn x 6 (!), Toronto x 3, etc.

Talk about the songs, the shows, and anything else DBT related here.

Curious if people think other shows will be announced? Coming from MI, I don't want to buy Brooklyn Bowl or Toronto tickets and then have Kalamazoo and Chicago shows announced in a couple weeks. Any thoughts?

You can get multiple day passes for the NY run but not for TO? That's kind of odd.

If i recall correctly, Patterson indicated in a post a few months ago that the band was only going to do limited touring this summer to prepare for the tour that will come after the new album drops. So we might not see many more shows added for the summer. But I hope I am wrong -- the two Kalamazoo shows at Bells were outstanding and any show in the Chicago area works for me.

Any chance they do an MMJ-style “play a different album front to back each night” thing?

I'm not sure I see this happening with DBT considering the amount of tunes that Tucker/Isbell/Malone sing on the classic records but how amazing it would be...

My jaw hit the floor when I saw those MMJ OBH setlists.

The official website. It gives the option to buy all 6 NYC shows as a package, or a 3 day pass to either weekend.

Assuming all goes well at noon on Wednesday, I'm in for

Hartford 6/23
Beverly 6/25
Brooklyn 6/28
Brooklyn 6/29

Additional Brooklyn shows are possible but not likely.

See you at the rock show!!

Life is always a little better and a little more exciting w/ a rock show in my future and it's 4 times better and exciting w/ 4 shows booked. Even if they are almost 3 months away. Knowing me as i do, an additional Brooklyn show or 3 might be in my future as well, we'll just have to see how things go. It's gonna be tough staying away that first weekend lol.

Bringing 9 others to the Beverly show which is probably a record for me and 7 are newbies. :o

Or you could scrap that dumb plan and choose quality over quantity and come to Toronto.

I've never been out of the United States, and given how the news is lately, I'm not sure but what being out of the country on the Fourth of July might not be wise. What's the venue like? How expensive is Toronto? If I have a marketable skill, can I stay? Do I need to bring a French-English dictionary?

While I would not describe my plan is dumb, your plan has much to recommend it. I don't think it's likely but I haven't written it off yet either.

Think I may dovetail on Clam's run. That fucking L - Train is a massive hassle nowadays, some weekends it's shut down, most nights the last train is 11pm, but for DBT it is worth it. Even if I have to walk over the Williamsburg Bridge to get back to the East Village. Wish they split the run with 3 at the revamped Webster Hall and 3 at BB. Rock!
