Neverending & in perpetuity 3dd Fantasy Football thread

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

thanks Clams!

i kinda lucked out that i was able to make a last minute move, putting JHoward from flex to RB in place of Gurley, and then adding Baldwin. of course, it was Deshaun Watson who really bailed my ass out... congrats to all of the FFL'ers this year, it was a good season.

Oops, forgot all about this league and my obligations. I guess that's what happens when you are mathematically eliminated in week 4. I dare anybody to try to match my back-to-back 8th place performance.

I'll just paypal some $ because that's the easiest thing to do at this point. How much do I owe you? I'm also covering the "new guy".

Made a PayPal transfer that covers me and the "New Guy". Congratulations again. Next year we change the payment structure so that 8th place gets paid . . .

Food for thought: https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2019/8/6/ ... ment-ideas

I kinda like the two QBs idea

I've been in another league for over 20 years that uses 2 QBs (along with other scoring modifications) and its worked out fine. Given my recent performance in this league, I'm okay with whatever changes y'all want to make.

ok, i'm sold.
And my favorite part about the two-QB approach is that it makes every quarterback relevant. If you adopt this format, there will come a point in the fall when an owner in your league is forced to start Daniel Jones. And when Jones throws three interceptions in a span of about seven minutes, you’ll get to point and laugh at that owner.

I’ve been in a 2 QB 8 team league for about 15 years now. The downside is there becomes a point when there aren’t enough relevant QBs available especially if some jack wagon decides to stockpile QBs on their bench. This should trigger a trade scenario but it seems like trades are few and far between in FF. The stockpiling of QBs became a strategy so our league agreed to limit the bench to only 1 QB (3QBs only on a team). This isn’t a rule that can be set in Yahoo so we all agreed to self enforce.

I’ll get the league setup soon and send invites to the new guys! Phungi, shoot me a PM with your email.

I’m going to throw out Sept 3 as the date for the draft... it’s the Tuesday after Labor Day. Hopefully that date works for the majority.

Cool with me. Phungi can replace my buddy who stepped in last year when we needed a warm body to fill out the league.

The league has been renewed and the date/time has been tentatively set for September 3, 2019 @ 5:00pm (PST). Tinnitus has expressed an objection to this date but we’ll go with the majority... so can we see a show of hands for the proposed date?

Phungi, the invite has been sent to your email and a link as a response to your PM.

Clams, since you started this thread could you change the name to omit 2018 and just have it read 3DD Fantasy Football?

Good luck, muthafuckers!

Edit...

Thanks, mollusk 8-)
