Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
Agree, I'd call it solid too. As compared to South Broadway, it's missing a centerpiece track like Building Chryslers (Bad Time to be an Outlaw almost gets there but lacks the muscle). Bit Logic sounds pretty twangy to me and also has some welcome funk. Plus the usual whining by Henneman about technology, changing times, and the sad state of the music biz and his wallet. All in all, another good and easily listenable Bottle Rox record.Iowan wrote:
My initial impression was that it was solid, but not quite on the level of South Broadway Athletic Club.
I'll be seeing them TWICE in Philly on Friday - once at WXPN's free at noon show at World Cafe Live (which streams live) and then again that evening at a proper show at Milkboy. Should be fun.

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
Agree with you both. This interview with Henneman alludes to how he's feeling as a performer getting older & hints at "transitioning into a more traditional country sound" which I don't take in any way to be a bad thing. Easily listenable is an apt describer Clams.Clams wrote:Agree, I'd call it solid too. Ventura is one of my very favorite Lucinda songs, which is saying something, as she has so many I love- could listen to this version all day long. Also, the cover of Angel (Jimi Hendrix) is exquisite

This. I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would, based on the track list.Sterling Bigmouth wrote:
