This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

Dude is 100% garbage. I’d have more respect if he just came out and said what he believes: Urban Meyer doesn’t give a fuck what any of his coaches do to women if said coaches can help him win footbaww games. What’s a little collateral damage when it comes to footbaww?
I am floored that his agent even allows him to open his mouth at this point, because it seems to get worse and worse every time he makes a weak attempt at defending himself.
I foresee another heart attack scare, leading him to “spend more time with his family” (nudge nudge wink wink) until the Notre Dame job is available

Corch Irvin Meyers is a sociopath. Straight up. In the early days of this scandal when Brett McMurphy made his initial report on this, I actually thought Meyer would either get what was coming to him or would fake another heart attack and go work for the World Wide Leader again as an analist er analyst. But when "the" Ohio State University explained their investigation had a two week time table right off the rip, I knew that Corch was going to slither out of this.

I'll echo what Sterling said about the way he just won't shut up. I couldn't believe it when he grabbed the wheel and put out that statement some time around the end of the first week after McMurphy's report. And now he seems to be too pissed that anyone would question his version of this to shut up about it. He reminds me a lot of Colonel Nathan Jessup from A Few Good Men. He's pissed that he has to hide from anything because he doesn't think he should be questioned about any decision he makes.

I don't make a habit of giving unsolicited advice but, Iowan, bubba, you guys should be getting on the next flight to Ohio to take the Ohio bar exam. Because.clearly the competition in that state for good attorneys is zero. How Meyer's lawyer has let him run his mouth the way he has is mind boggling.

I hope we can get into the playoffs and beat the living shit out of Ohio State just for the pure joy of handing him his ass.

I think Urban Meyer and Rick Pitino share the same horrible PR person, because neither of them will just shut up and every time they open their mouths about the scandals they presided over, they make things worse.

Being a UK fan, I normally don't have too much to brag about during football season, but this year has been fun so far. Tim Couch has always been my favorite UK football player, because we were both at UK at the same time, he grew up about 30 minutes from me and it was cool to see someone from our area end up the #1 draft pick in the NFL. However, I think Benny Snell might have replaced him over these past few years. Love watching this kid play and love his personality. Excited to be 4-0 and can't wait until the South Carolina game this weekend.

Suck it, Pokes. Brock Purdy is the next in a long line of Cyclone QBs to have a brilliant debut, but ultimately fizzle 5 games later.

Right here!

I feel like we win this one but I anticipate a tough one. If y'all had not had such a physical down to the wire game last week I wouldn't be quite as confident.

Burrow isn't a terrible quarterback but he doesn't scare me. Especially considering DeAndre Baker takes away one whole side of the field. Now if y'all really get the running game rolling...gonna be really tough.

I respect LSU and unlike most other SEC teams, I really have no negative feelings about them.

On a slightly different note,I heard an ESPN talking head sniff that we couldn't win this game because we have yet to play a good team in hostile environment. Whaaaaat? I heard all summer about how we could not beat South Carolina up there at the fairgrounds because it was going to be hot, and they play Sandstorm and their fans would be crazy and blah blah blah. Then we couldn't go on the road and beat Missouri.

One concern I do have is the middle of our defense is our weak spot and we are down two defensive linemen this week.

Nevermind. Burrow is the greatest college football player of all time. At least we sure made him look like it. We were complete garbage in every phase of the game today. Swift and Holyfield were averaging six and eight yards a carry respectively and...we allowed them a total of nineteen carries combined. We were going to win it with From or not win it all and From was hot garbage today. And we get down there ready to pick a field goal and tie it and werun a fake? Why? I'm really disgusted with Jim Chaney right now.

This might seem like oversimplification, but he really relates to kids. He’s like 35-36, so he’s not that old. His youth makes him attractive to a higher caliber of player than we’ve had.

Complete and total football junky. Not sure he has any other hobbies.

Ohio dude through and through. Doesn’t really consider Iowa the Midwest. Likely heading to Columbus when Urb goes. Entire career prior to us was in Ohio. Has tons of connections there and recruits it heavily.

Best talent evaluator I’ve ever seen. Applies to players and coaches. Uncanny ability to recognize talent before others. That’s how he hooked up with our bad ass DC, John Heacock. Also how he beat Saban and Jimbo for our QB.

He’s the shit, and I’m just enjoying the ride.

Matt Campbell is a good guy. His dad was a HS coach in Ohio, so he's been around it his entire life. Division III guy - played & coached at Mount Union. Not an egotistical asshole. Not a slimy, snake oil salesman. A quality person who works hard and "gets it". Happy to see someone like that have success at that level.

Everyone I’ve ever known around the program gushes about his humility and genuine nature.

His Mt Union/DIII experience is a crucial piece of the puzzle. He learned how to win, in a very literal sense. In an arena where you get ahead not by stock piling raw talent, but teaching guys to be exceptional at details and technique, Mt Union has consistently been among the best. That informs his approach at ISU in a big way. We aren’t going to out talent too many squads, so you have to be better at everything else.

Half correct. From a Division III perspective, nobody, and I mean nobody, stockpiles talent like MU. That said, you still gotta run sound schemes and coach 'em up, but MU is typically head & shoulders above 99% of the the Division III programs when it comes to talent.

I would definitely defer to you on this subject.

Now that you point that out, Campbell was offered by Pitt and spent a RS year there, so that definitely checks out.

If Texas beats West Virginia next week, we’re in control of our own destiny in regards to winning the Big 12. We also have the top half of the league in the rear view, sans Texas.

There’s a decent chance our game in Austin in mid November will be for a berth in the title.

The Apocalypse is nigh.

If that isn’t enough to make you think Armageddon is upon us, my UK Wildcats host Georgia this weekend with the SEC East title on the line (along with the chance to get beat by 50 by Bama in the SEC title game.)
