Toronto/Montreal/Burlington in February? Hm. Not when I would visit there personally, but... I guess it is, now.

Also, I'm assuming this means Homecoming is likely Feb 16-18?

I thought the same thing about most of the locations on this leg of shows. After living in CA for 20 years I can't do winter

Patterson said something to that effect on Facebook; "most likely" was the specific phrase.

And most likely a bunch of folks (me included) booked rooms for that period, as apparently it's Parent's Weekend or some such nonsense at UGA.

Yep, booked last night. As soon as I saw that the Holiday Inn Express is already booked full Saturday (we've stayed there 5 years in a row) I knew it was time to go ahead and book a hotel for Homecoming right away. It looks like most of the usual suspects in Athens are already booked up for the weekend :x

Same here. It's especially great because prior to Aspen, we had gone like two years without a proper Rock Show. I loved TDU in Boulder, but I could still, like, hear when I walked out of the theater.

May be a good time to hear "White Knuckle, West Virginia"

For Homecoming, I just booked the Marriott. On the phone, they told me they were sold out, but I was able to get a reservation online.

I just logged on to get a room at the Courtyard Marriot and got "No rooms available for your selected dates"

Fuck. Are hotels already full for shows that are still rumored?? What are some of the other walkable options?

I think it's Parents Weekend at UGA that's screwing everything up. In years past I usually booked hotel rooms about a month out or so.

The Hilton Garden is nice, but it's a little longer walk and a little more expensive (or was a couple of years ago).

Also full.. I can't start sweating something that hasn't even been announced yet. I guess I'll cross that bridge when we get to it- but appreciate the response.

I was really hoping that Homecoming would be the weekend of the 11th as the following week is the week my wife and I go to Puerto Rico for our annual trip there. Well looks like I will settle for Webster Hall and maybe a road trip to Nashville.

Correct. DBT confirmed as much on Facebook and that's what's listed on the website as well.

Hoping to make the Nashville show. I noticed the ticket link said Fan Club Presale. Is there a password needed to get these tickets today?

Not usually. When they say "fan club" they mean through the DBT site.

The Royale? Webster Hall? Nice. The boys are moving up in the world. Seems sort of appropriate that Webster Hall is where I first saw Prince, lo these many decades ago.

Not a very fan friendly schedule, though, at least for us northeasterners. Athens w/out a hotel room and overrun by parents doesn't sound very appealing. I suspect eating will be a strictly fast food/take out exercise. Coming 5 days after a likely 3 day boston/nyc run makes it a far less urgent priority. Add in the better than even odds of weather related travel problems and I'm not sure how much sense homecoming makes. Maybe a Canadian run (did I just say weather?) makes more sense, but Feb 4 - 7 is a lot of downtime. No reason to decide immediately, I guess, except for that hotel room thing...

Looks like a password will be needed for the NYC show. It's "surrender." BTW, the venue for the boston show is incorrect on the "show page" on the DBT site but is correct on the tickets page, altho there is a certain symmetry w/ having the wrong date on the announcement - put the 2 together and you have the VT show :) . On sale at noon today.

If the hotels in Athens fill up for a possible overlapping DBT Homecoming and University of Georgia Parent's Weekend, then as a fund raiser Nuci's Space could open up their parking lot for a Heathen's Homecoming Camp Out.

It could be like a mini version of a Drive By Trucker themed music festival. We could roll in a shower truck and a couple nice port-a-pottys (one for the guys and one for the gals), and I'm sure 3DD has a couple of great cooks and a few bartenders. Jittery Joe's could provide industrial strength coffee and bagels in the mornings (not too early).

We could run a van back to the campsite from the 40 Watt about 2 AM each morning with the survivors.

We could use the Pickle for the ceremonial lighting of the Heathen's campfire each evening.
