3DD NC

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

If you focus on the person with the blue sweater and pink shirt on the train, it's clear that the .gif is rapidly switching between 2 pictures. Cool illusion, though.

Thanks, not sure I would have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out.

Posting from the interwebs in the sky. Twenty minutes outside Chicago. I miss my wife and my dog. Heading to the old stomoing grounds and I do get to see my good buddy Lester sing tomorrow night so there is that.

Even if this is staged (it's become increasingly hard to tell these days) it's still fucking hilarious. Be sure to stick around to the end. If you're not already rolling, the "hold your head up" during "Sweet Dreams" will get ya.

Losing your voice sucks.

Losing your voice when your job is to talk to people really sucks

Losing your voice and then having to talk to people for 8 hours per day for four days in a row REALLY sucks

Always scrape your shovel/spade/etc... clean at the end of the day.
Thanks to my dad passing this advice on, and following it himself, today I dug post holes with an auger that in most places might be hanging in a museum.

Around here it hangs in the garage.

My dad gave me the same advice. I can also remember learning to use a hammer and a hand saw. "You're working too hard, boy! Let the tool do the work."

Good advice for one of these as well.

Yes listen to dad's advice, they've got some good one's. I remember being told to allways put my suit back on the hanger before going to bed when returning from a night out. That way, If you wake up the next morning seeing your suit in a pile on the floor, you know you've been drinking too much.

I'm sitting here wondering what my kids will say when they're having this conversation 20 or 30 years from now. Gulp.

As for my dad, I'm not sure what great advice I can attribute to him, though I don't have to think hard about it to know that it had absolutely nothing to do w/ tools or manual skills or handiwork. The 2 that come most readily to mind are something along the lines of "if somebody's paying you to work, then you owe them your best work" and one that will come as no surprise to some of you: "Always buy the best."

Those actually sound like two sides of the same coin. :) Myself I can't seem to put a finger on specific quotes I just find myself unconsciously doing things the way they drilled me on when I was young. The only specific advice i remember my real dad giving me was, "No alcohol, marijuana or women until you are 18." Well i didn't quite make that age but...it all worked out i guess. ;)
