Throw in Joan Osborne's Relish and this was a great year for women in rock.
The Bottle Rockets' The Brooklyn Side might well be the best album of that year but I didn't discover it or Blue Mountain's very fine Dog Days until much, much later, thanks to the good people of 3DD.
