What's in your car CD player?

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

my favourite discovery of last year, no shit.
I've never taken a pissbreak during a DBT show but if I had it would have been during Dancing Ricky.

Mine's a DVD player and right now it's got JJ Grey & Mofro's Brighter Days concert disc. My music is on a 160GB iPod hooked into it, so there's not enough room to list.

Dust. Ever since I got converted to the ways of the iPod my cassette deck gets far more use than my CD player.

I don't remember the last time I had a CD in the CD player in my car. I've had my current car for a little over a year, and I'm pretty sure I've never actually used it. It has a factory built in iPod interface, XM, and I can stream from my phone over bluetooth.
Just put the goddamn record on and enjoy it

I have a very old battered CD player which only takes one disc at a time and on which the forward and reverse buttons are broken, which is good because it forces me to listen to whole albums, rather than just skipping to the tracks I like.

A very scratched and damaged Creations Dark. Half the songs get stuck, or skip over large sections. Been stuck in there for a few months now, (literally) but 90% of the time I remember my ipod so I don't worry about it too much.

Mine plays mp3 discs as well, so:

DBT - Gangstabilly through Brighter
Slobberbone/Uncle Tupelo - Complete discographies
Tom Petty - Mojo
Old 97's - Grand Theatre Vol. 1
Whitey Morgan - Self titled
David Zollo (Local guy I saw open for and play w/Todd Snider)- The Big Night
I'm only human, though I'm super at times.

Zollo is great. He plays here in Des Moines a lot. I'm pretty sure a family friend of ours in Kalona knows him well.

Naturally. Maybe in my reckless, rural youth, but not on the way to work this morning.

This (almost, but hardwired instead of bluetooth). Ipod. No more CD's. No more radio.

I have XM/Sirius in my car. As much as I enjoy it it's really not worth the investment since I can't listen to it via my computer at home. Once XM and Sirius merged they did away with that. Now, you have to pay extra for it. The only time my CD player gets any use is when I'm coming home from the record store with new purchases.
