I didn't go last year and can't remember from years past when doors are? 7 or 8? I do remember shows not being on time at all ;)

New to the board. Big DBT fan, seen'em many times but first trip to Athens. Is there a gathering place Thrs evening before the show? May have extra ticket for the show if anyone is interested. Had a last minute cancelation.

Damn, this day is creeping by. I started on a new contract at work two weeks ago and don't have all my computer accesses yet so I have no work to do which makes the day go by even slower. I have 6 hours and 50 minutes before I can get on the road.

Welcome.

There's a separate "pinned" thread for buying/selling tix for Athens.

Gathering places include the line in front of the 40 Watt for the railbirds, the diner virtually next door (clocks?), the flickr bar and the 2 bars slightly further down the street, one of which has a serious beer list. Sorry i can't remember all the names but it's pretty obvious when you're walking down the street.

I second that. It feels like my office has been transported to the Land That Time Forgot. Five more hours and I am out of here. Can't wait.

I think the bar you're referring to with the great beer list is called Trapeze.

Landed in Atlanta after one of the worst flights I can ever remember. Then to add insult to injury some woman mistook my gate checked bag for hers and set a land speed record getting out of dodge. The airline just tracked her down and I should have my bag within the hour but geez! Oh well Rock Shows ahead! All will be well.

It was a carry on! The plane was too small so they gate checked it. This cinches it, my bag needs a Cooley Bird!

Diner is Clocked. There's a new pizza joint across the street from 40 Watt worth checkin out, too called Ted's Most Best.

Flicker Bar is next door to Clocked. Max Canada is a little further up the street.

And just down from there is Trappeze Pub, the place with the serious beer list.
