I'm afraid I'm out in the sticks w/ only modem, so no videos or downloadin'. The dvd doesnt show it well nuff. There are so many tunes here w/ the little licks included I hoped some slinger could clarify. Yup Zip, the little lick after G in the intro(and throughout the tune. I think he slides up 2 and then a little run.
Also, 2 small lyric corrections "I guess as time goes on I'll grow to miss it less than I will now"
and "The highways humming in my head and it's all I hear"

Thanks for your help.
Love the new site

I can't put a guarantee on this, and I apologize for the sloppy tab I am about to type out...

Open position:
5th String A B
4th String D E F# E D
5th String B
4th String D (meets on the D chord)
5th String A (meets on the A chord)

Lots of hammer ons. You can move this up to the 5th fret and start on the sixth string if you so desire. Hope this helps.

I'm actually laying some ground work for an all Cooley cover ep that I want to record just for shits & giggles. Didn't think that riff was in my wheelhouse, but it adds some nice color to the song.

Any feedback/corrections appreciated.

Keep on a pluckin'!

That F# is wrong. Tonight I'm just playing A & B on the 5th string and D & E on the 4th string. Let me sober up and think this out. I'll get back to you on Monday....

By the way, this tab section is great. Thanks for compiling it in an organized fashion. Appreciate it!

I was just trying to figure that one too. I was trying to track it via youtube, Cooley does seem to reach a ways up the neck, but them fingers move quick:

I don't know how Cooley's playing it exactly, but it seems he does go back after the high note: A B D E D B . Probably wrong, but there are more than four notes I think.

This guy does a pretty good cover, and he is playing the following lick:

-------------------------------
-------------------------------
-------------------------------
-------------------------------
--------3h5---5p3-------------
--3/5--------------------------

Keep in mind that he's not tuned down, just changed key (Am Em F C G).

Transposing makes my head hurt...

If I understand correctly, playing in EADGBE, rather than down-tuning one whole step (DGCFAD), is not enough, but if playing in EADGBE you also need to transpose the notes/chords up a whole step?

Yes. You would just move the lick up a whole note. The 3 becomes 5, the 5 becomes 7 in that tab above.
