Jacques Barzun is famously quoted as saying ""Whoever wants to know the heart and mind of America had better learn baseball..."

The observation went to another level of prescience today when it was announced that Olivia Pichard of Brown University is the first woman to make a D1 men's baseball roster. Congratulations Ms. Pichard!
