Re: NBA 09-10
I can easily see people not liking the current Celts because of the way they carry themselves. There is definitely a brashness. I don't think they are a dirty team at all. They are physical and intense. Those are two qualities that are important in the playoffs.
But they are nowhere near as dirty as the old Pistons, knicks, etc.

Not sure how we went from cocky, brash, and intense to dirty, douche bags.

Re: NBA 09-10
Well, that was a winnable game Poor play, poor decisionmaking at the wrong times. Did the Magic win or the Celtics lose? I thought the Magic earned their early lead but i thought the Celtics lost it in the end of both regulation and overtime - indecision, poorly designed plays, worse execution, just ugly. Pierce had no legs at all, which is why he front rimmed all those 3's.

Re: NBA 09-10
the execution at the end was terrible last night.Rondo had the worst game he's had all playoffs. The C's leaned on Pierce way too much at the end, and he just didn't have it.
I swear I thought that KG was going to take over after that blown call/technical.
Oh well, back to Disney world.

They definitely looked old last night. Time to regroup and take another one in Florida.

i'm the biggest pessimist there is so now i'm really worried about this series. Orlando wins the next game and the pressure is CLEARLY now on Boston. We do not want to go 7 games in this series. WHY WHY WHY didn't Doc call a time out on that last possession in regulation???? Set up a final play! Pierce dribbling in double team and losing the ball when Rondo was WIDE OPEN in the corner. UUUGGGGG!!! I want this series to be over!

My son agrees w/ you, but i don't. I think that generally in that situation, not calling timeout favors the offense. Especially an offense full of experienced, big game players who have played together for multiple years. They just executed like a middle school junior varsity. My sense (and this is just a guess of course) is that the players were expecting a time out to be called so never "locked in" on the task at hand.

Wasn't Joey who called it. God bless him for catching a concussed "Big Baby".

Crawford was just the only one on the crew I knew...and I figured he was probably crew chief, but yea...he didn't call it.
Glad it was rescinded, as it should have been. Receiving that text message with that news has been the bright spot on an otherwise crummy day. (pardon my french)

Quite a spark provided by Nate Robinson in the 1st half. Double-digit halftime lead. I'm still very worried.

I can deal w/ garnett not scoring (tho some of those misses were painful) but can't he at least defend/shot block &/or rebound? Sheesh, he looks like he did months ago (and that's not a good thing). But no doubt, Nate's come up big! And yep, as big leads go, this one seems pretty tenuous.

Nice pick, Legler.
Nice game, Celts. Whodathunkit? Nate Robinson?
It is always a treat to watch Pierce have a game like he had last night. He really is one of the greatest scorers to ever that uniform.
Beat L.A.......or Phoenix.

It's gonna be L.A. As far as the "beat L.A." chants during the game last night, that was Lame. Come up with a new phrase already. It's gonna be a battle and I can't wait.

New phrase? Some things never go out of style.

Beating L.A. is old. 9 finals match-ups. 7 wins. Let's make it an even 80% success rate this year.
