Re: NBA 09-10
This is when the switch to the 2-3-2 format takes on real significance. OTOH, home court hasn't been much of a factor in this series so far.

If another Celtic attempts a one handed dunk, i will blow my fucking head off. What the fuck.
Defense has obviously not been great, but the offense is inept. Embarrassing first half.

I've calmed down from my angry state last night. The Celts ran into a buzzsaw last night, and there was no way the Lakers were going to lose that game.
But, it sucks seeing the Celtics get so badly out-hustled.
That said, I'm excited for tomorrow.

Re: NBA 09-10
this is all i can think about right now...i'm a nervous wreck for tomorrows game. Totally BLOWS losing Kendrick Perkins. This means we have to rely on Rasheed Wallace to get us 40 minutes of productive basketball tomorrow. I'm already scared. I'm just hoping he doesn't foul out before halftime. At any rate, the C's need to come with a serious A game tomorrow and play flawless basketball. We need our bench to step up as well....and that means Brian Scalabrine!!!!
GO CELTICS!

I wouldn't mind seeing Scal get some minutes. He couldn't do much worse that Shelden Williams. Ugh.

Clams is that avatar still part of the hockey bet?
Game's on at 2 am here. I will not stay up for it, which sucks, but that's the way it is when you're old, or at least want to maximize your tourism time.

Better than the dancing banana.
Seriously though, this should be a great game. The Perkins injury is going to hurt Boston I think, and Kobe leading his team at home could be tough to beat. Either way it goes this one will be close.

Just as an aside isn't it pretty amazing that Phil Jackson has never coached a game 7 before tonight?

I feel like the Celtics let the Lakers off the hook in the 3rd Q. Dammit, this sucks.
Congrats, lakers and lajakesdad. Winning back to back titles is quite an accomplishment.
As far as the Celtics, it's been a fun playoff run to watch after a miserable regular season. I'm not sure that I buy into the thought that this was this groups last chance. I want to see what Lebron does, and what else happens in the East in the off-season to fully subscribe to that theory.

Was it a good (well played) game? I know Kobe was 6 for 24, who starred? I heard that 'sheed was down for crucial minutes w/ cramps, right? No doubt anyone can cramp up, but is it coincidence that the out of shape guy who didn't care about the regular season got cramps in the biggest game of the season? I think not.

It was not a well played offensive game, from either team. But, both teams were really playing their asses off, and for me, that makes it a good game. I don't even remember them mentioning Sheed cramping up (doesn't mean it didn't happen, I often tune out the announcers) Sheed played really well, I thought. He fouled out in the closing minutes, and it hurt to lose him as an offensive weapon at that point.
As far as "who starred?" Artest was the star of the game.
