NBA 09-10

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

NBA 09-10

Post by 4sooner »

Gotta give props to my OKC Thunder. Win or lose this series, They look like a team to be reckoned with the next few years. Magic said on the NBA preview show last Sunday that if they can win game 5-tonight- in LA that he looks for them to win this series!

I am on the bandwagon!!!! Got my O-fficial hat and everything :D :D

But i do have to say that an arena decked out entirely in white is more than a little spooky.

Yep. in addition to the hotel they stayed in that the Knicks swore was haunted when they stayed there this year. We are wondering what they are going to do with the shirts for game 6. They handed out 18,500 light blue shirts for game 3, then the 18,500 white ones for game 4. One of those talking heads on the NBA network called the Ford Center the best home court arena in the NBA. Is this fun or what??

Thundermania is running wild in this state. It is like nothing I've ever seen. I'm not sure that it's not crazier than it was after OU's shocking title run in football back in 2000, and that is really saying something. I give us 0% chance of winning in L.A. so I just hope we can force game 7 and put some more miles on their tires.

Tough one to lose. Would've liked to see it go seven, but the future looks really really good for this team.

It's frustrating watching the Jazz play the Lakers. Aside from just being too long and tall for the Jazz, the disparity at the foul line is fucking ridiculous. D-Will and Boozer get murdered under the hoop and no call. Breathe on Kobe and it's fucking flagrant. That being the case, a couple of made shots, a couple of calls, and the Jazz come away from L.A. tied 1-1. They were in both games at the end, so there is hope that they can win at least one in Salt Lake. Kirilenko will play in game 3, and although he's no saviour, maybe he can at least counter the Lakers size advantage somewhat. I'll be in San Francisco prepping for the Fillmore DBT show when game 3 starts so hopefully I'll get to see at least some of the game. The sacrifices we make . . .

I'm applauding this.
I think tonight is a must win. The Celts have struggled mightily this year on Sunday afternoons, and I just have a feeling it will continue in two days.
(yes, I know the Celts destroyed the Cavs on Easter Sunday, but that was a Cavs team that had nothing to play for)
I'm just hoping the Cavs continue to let Jamison guard KG.

Being that I'm a UK fan, I'm curious to know just how much all the Celtics fans LOVE Rondo??? I liked him as a Cat, but I gotta admit, he's WAY more fun to watch these days than he was in college.

It took people awhile to warm to him, and for sure the jury was out for a couple of years (tho i was on the bandwagon early), but i think it's fair to say that by now (i) his talent and remaining upside are widely recognized and (ii) people know he's the future of the team. The long term contract he got in the fall was big for all concerned i think, from players to mgt to the press to fans.

He's finally coming into his own and he is a joy to watch in that he is such an athletic, versatile player. Up to this season, he drove me fucking crazy. There are times he still does (his free throw shooting is AWFUL and he does everything in his power not to shoot sometimes), but he has become an elite NBA point guard.
