Drink Up...
Wild Rivers 2010
Great water is essential to making great beer. Both in the brewhouse, and in the nearby Sierra Nevada Mountains that offer our inspiration, clean and clear water is vital.
Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and founder Ken Grossman are committed to the preservation of healthy waterways both in our backyard and across the nation. We work with waterway protection groups, communities, developers and farmers to ensure that these resources remain healthy and vibrant.
Our nonprofit partners, Western Rivers Conservancy and River Network, are working with Sierra Nevada to protect our rivers.
For every 12-pack of Pale Ale and Sierra Nevada seasonal beer purchased in the U.S. from August 1 - September 17, Sierra Nevada will donate a portion of proceeds to Western Rivers Conservancy and River Network to help save a waterway near you.

Can't drink that much anymore but I'll but a 12 pack. Sierra Pale Ale is my favorite beer/ale on the planet and has been for more than 20 years.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved
Re: Drink Up...
I need an "excuse" to drink more Sierra. I'll be picking some up from my local megaliquor store soon.
Oh and thanks a ton for the Hops info BK

Sierra Nevada just tips the scales of being too bitter for me (or hoppy or whatever the adjective is). I prefer my beer smooth and bold to sharp

Get your hands on their Kolsch, Zip. Or maybe try their Tumbler, a brown ale. I hear you on the hoppiness, it is definitely an acquired taste.

I like the SN Torpedo but some of the Extra IPA's can be too hoppy for me.

The Torpedo was way too bitter for me the first time I tried it - but about 4 beers in I didn't want anything else. My personal preference is Sweetwaters IPA or EPA or Sierra Nevada - Red Stripe from time to time - just think a year ago I didn't go past Budweiser/PBR! You guys have introduced me to some great music (and I hope I returned the favor) and gave me a whole new perspective on beer.
E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle.

Fuck yeah, love hoppy beers. Anyone try the Dogfish/Sierra Nevada collabo last year? Life and Limb. Was hoppy, heavy and tasty and Dark.
I am a hop-head.
The holy grail for hopheads. Have to age it a few years to help with the alcohol taste(18-21% alcohol depending on the year). I aged one 4 years, it was hard, but was well worth the wait. Dont even bother trying one of these Zip, stick with your Zimas(smooth and sharp I guess, lol) 60, 90, Burton Baton and Jonny Cask are damn good as well, and the Squall IPA was one of my favorites from last year.
Also Bells Hopslam isnt bad, for a non dogfish hoppy beer. Victory HopWallop is good. Also like Heavy Seas Loose Cannon.
Re: Drink Up...
I drank some of the Sierra Nevada Topedo the other night. It's is unbelievably good, and a great substitute for dinner in my opinion.
