Happy Birthday Beantownbubba!

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes and kind words (even u, Clams, I know how to translate phillyian). Rare scotch? Check. Fine wine? Mmmmm...let's say a good and enjoyable wine. Nice dinner, good low key day. Many, many birthday wishes through just about every form of communication :) which are greatly appreciated and very humbling.

I tried to conjure up a birthday wish that rhymed Anna Kendrick with schmendrick, but alas I failed and let you down

There once was a girl named Kendrick
Who was admired afar by a schmendrick
She said jeff you're a clown

I would have found a way to Limerickally pair "Kendrick" with "my dick".

Do I have to use "schmendrick" also, because that is not currently in my vocabulary. And gauntlet accepted.

It's wwcd's world, we're just mucking around in it, but I would think so. But either way let's make this a teaching moment:

Schmendrick (שמענדריק) is Yiddish for an ineffectual, foolish, or contemptible person (OED). In addition, according to Joys of Yiddish by Leo Rosten, another definition is "an apprentice schlemiel."

Schlemiel: a stupid, awkward, or unlucky person

In my non-expert opinion, schmendrick is more ineffectual or foolish than contemptible and schlemiel is more awkward or unlucky than stupid.
