First the broken leg (which necessitated cancellation not only of the vacation we were taking at the time, but also put a big kibosh on Homecoming plans), then 2 of our dogs become seriously ill and die within the course of 3 weeks. Now, just to piss in my mouth while I'm down, the Gods deem it a good time to inflict gout upon the big toe of my busted leg. Anyone have a time machine? I want a do-over. The next bad juju that happens, I'm sticking my tongue in an electrical outlet while standing in a bucket of water.

man, I had gout once back in 2013 and it was fucking awful. I hope I never have to deal with any physical pain that is worse, because gout does not play. Short of coach k and Donnie Bone Spurs, I wouldn't wish gout on anyone
