WTF of the day.....

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

Well, to make a long story short, my father had in fact died, LAST JULY! My half sister hadn't bothered to call me and let me know. Now, as a point of fact, I had been estranged from my father for my entire adult life. I had only seen him twice(and very briefly both times) in the last 25 years. Am I being unreasonable to take issue with the fact that my half sister didn't think she owed me the common courtesy of calling me to tell me that my father was dead?

sactochris, reading back over post I made last night I realized I had followed up your situation with some of my silly ass shit. It made me feel bad that I didn't wait for someone to post something not so personal before I posted. I do feel you however. My family is pretty wack and I have had family members pass without any notification. What is wrong with people today? :(

That's fucked up.

In a similar story, my co-worker recently told me that his wife of 5 years (and mother of his two kids) recently confessed that the two kids that he thought were his niece and nephew are actually his wife's kids from before they met. She never told him until now. Needless to say, there is a serious break in trust in that relationship

It's amazing the things people can justify to themselves. My sister told me that she did it to punish me for not making an effort to be a part of my fathers life. She actually said that she didn't think it was worth wasting her breath to tell me because she didn't think I would care.

Florida man arrested in plot to get rich by bombing Target stores

The plan was to set off the bombs in Target stores in Florida, Virginia, and New York, sending the company's stock value down. Barnett would then buy Target stock cheaply, and sit and wait as the stock rebounded, which he referred to as "easy money," according to the criminal complaint.

My son is a kindergartener.... Daily he's prompted as part of creative writing to ask his teacher a question. Today my son wrote:

Missouri Rep Wants the State Museum to House a Permanent 'History of Abortion' Exhibition

Mike Moon, a Republican state representative in Missouri, recently introduced House Bill 1014 which, according to the bill’s description, “requires the Missouri State Museum to include a display on the history of abortion.” In addition to requiring the state museum to display a surely one-sided history of abortion, the bill, which he calls the “Never Again Act,” also requires that curators at the museum install the imaginary exhibition “near the existing exhibit on the history of slavery.”

After we finally put some of these fuckers out of work I would like to have a "backwards motherfuckers" museum where these people's false righteousness and hypocrisy are on full display to all. God damn this one pisses me off.

the iCondom:
The i.Con tracks speed, “average thrust velocity,” duration, skin temperature, girth, calories burned (no joke) and frequency of sessions. Most importantly for many, no doubt, will be how a wearer stacks up to the average and “best” performers — though a sexual partner will likely have an insight or two about that. Statistics are tracked via an i.Con app.
We got messed up minds for these messed up times...

Ah, the very same Ralph Shortey who introduced a bill that would ban the use of aborted human fetuses in food.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/nationn ... -food.html

The legislation, known as SB 1418, is only a couple of paragraphs long. It states: "No person or entity shall manufacture or knowingly sell food or any other product intended for human consumption which contains aborted human fetuses in the ingredients or which used aborted human fetuses in the research or development of any of the ingredients."

just another nanny state-lovin' Republican ;)
