WTF of the day.....

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

The Black Canary

Ok, so I go to St Elizabeth's to see Momma Canary, in the RICU. I get there and they say she is on morphine and is out, she was having cramping and pains in her legs, so they put her out for a bit, fine. So I find my dad and brother, and we hit the cafe for lunch.

Then after about an hour I go back up to the RICU, and she is up and they have brought her, her lunch tray, fine. She does the Mary Queen of Scots routine which is fine (as her name is Mary Scott, family joke) open the milk, move the tray, lift the pillow, turn this that etc... Ok so I get her all situated, then it is too hot, blankets off, heat off, shift pillows again, move the table on wheels to other side of the bed, re-connect her pulse monitor etc...

Ok now we get to lunch, all she wants is the squash, which is good because she really had not been eating for the past couple of days, then she makes me eat some of her fish, (bad hospital fish, I am sure I will pay for those couple of bites later on).

Ok so all her doctors say she is not coming home, then this fckn jackass doctor comes in and says if we can get the fluid out of her lungs and get her to use less than 6 liters of oxygen(as those monster oxygen machines can not be placed in a private home) They tried her at 6 liters today and she was just about out cold in a couple of hours, back on 8 liters. Then this same A**wipe of a doctor, gives her well there can always be a miracle and you could go home!!!! WTF, all her other doctors, primary, respitory, cardio etc... state she is not going to come home at all.

So now Momma Canary, is under the impression that she is going to be ok, even her nurses are shaking their heads no behind this doctor as he spoke. Then when he leaves, they tell us he is an resident.

She is on limited fluid, no more than a liter and half a day, morphine, 8+ liters of oxygen, and she is gray WTF!!!! is wrong with this doctor?!?!?! She can barely move, she is completely exhausted, just to stay awake for a few hours!!!! I could have just picked up my chair and slapped him across the head with it!!!!

Just 'cause he's a doctor, it doesn't mean u can't tell him to shut the fuck up, tell him to leave, or whatever. Plus he's not really a doctor, he's a resident. And yes, I know residents are literally doctors, and i know that some of them are good and i know that most of them will eventually be good, but at the moment, most of 'em aren't, and they say stupid shit all the time. Do not feel that u can't ask questions, challenge them, ask them to step outside to talk first before they talk to the patient, etc etc. Take charge, 'cause nobody else will. And if all else fails, embarrass 'em in front of the patient, the nurses and whoever else happens to be around. They'll hate u, but who cares?

seriously, i do not want to be morbid. i fully understand people are lost or die every single day.
every single soul, every child is loved by someone. i pray.
his name is cashmere. he was 8. he fell in the river one week ago.

every morning from sun up til sundown the helicopters fly overhead.
today, they were so low, i could see the faces of the fire fighters on board.
his father is so frustrated, he took to the river himself today, til the police told him to stop.

it has not rained for days and the river is very low in some parts.
behind my house there are places only a foot deep or so.
what the fuck?
why can't this body be found?
what kind of closure can there be if they can't find it?

again, i am just thinking out loud here...
i imagine, this family will never hear the sound of helicopters and not feel anguish.
i know i will never hear them the same way again. still praying /hoping for peace for this family.

The church accuses Dio of hating God...

Members of the Westboro Baptist Church plan to picket the public memorial service of the late Ronnie James Dio on May 30 to protest his supposed links with the devil. The church accuses Dio of worshipping the devil, encouraging violence and hating God.

The church's website, Godhatesfags.com, asks members and supporters to attend the service "to remind you who worship that old serpent, Satan, that your time is very short." It continues:

"We'll be there! Just because the chances of any of God's elect being amongst this group of heavy metal sycophants is slim to none does not mean they should not get some good words."

I don't like to wish violence on anyone, but if anyone could use a fuckin old school metalhead beatdown, it would be those scum.

Eyeballing' Fad has Teens Pouring Vodka into Eyes
Wednesday, May 26, 2010

Vodka eyeballing. It’s the latest drinking fad on YouTube, and it could cause blindness.

Hundreds of online videos that originated in the U.K. show teens pouring vodka directly into their eyes, straight from the bottle. The videos are getting hundreds of thousands of hits, MyFoxDC.com reported.

Substance abuse expert Mike Gimbel claims kids aren’t eyeballing to get drunk faster, but do it when the effects of alcohol have already set in and impaired their judgment. Eyeballing is more of a prank than a way to become more intoxicated.

“They’re not doing it to get more drunk, they’re doing it as part of a fad. ‘I dare you to do this,’” Gimbel said.

Robert Stutman, president of the Maryland Optometric Association, said eyeballing can be very damaging to the eyes. Vodka is 40 to 50 percent alcohol and can burn and scar the cornea.

“It probably could [cause blindness] if it caused severe enough scarring of the cornea,” Stutman said.

Nope. I Guarantee you if they were smoking weed they wouldn't be pouring motherfuckin' vodka in their eyes. They'd be eating Oreos, and laughing.

Braids be gone: Willie Nelson gets a haircut

Willie Nelson displayed his new chin-length 'do at a gig in Hawaii over the weekend.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Country music fans have come to expect a little eccentricity from legendary crooner Willie Nelson, but he pulled off a real shocker this time.

PHOTOS: The red-headed stranger through the years

He cut his hair.

"Oh Noooooo!," wrote one fan who saw a picture of Nelson's new do on the website of Nashville TV and radio personality Jimmy Carter.

Nelson's waist-deep, reddish pigtails have long been one of the singer-songwriter's signature features. But spokeswoman Elaine Schock said Nelson, who's been hanging loose in Hawaii, got his hair cut in the past couple of weeks. She said the Texas-born performer didn't make a big fuss about the makeover, but she thought he might have grown tired of dealing with long locks.

"There's a lot of maintenance," she said.
