RIP Jonathan Demme

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

I'm a fan of his work. He will be missed by many cinemaphiles.

I know he'll be missed greatly by this guy

Had he done nothing other than Melvin & Howard and Stop Making Sense his legacy would still be massive*

*=and of course I am fully aware of his entire catalog, so no point in saying, "hey, WWCD?, you moron, you forgot ______" ;)
Son, this ain't a dream no more, it's the real thing

Hey, wwcd you forgot... oh, nevermind.

A big loss. He was IT for a long time during my formative movie appreciation years. RIP

One of my very first dates was when I took a girl to see Stop Making Sense,

Love much of his stuff. "Married To the Mob" is such an enjoyable "little" movie.

Heart of Gold with Neil Young in a country mode is a good movie if no Stop Making Sense.
