Re: Questions for Clams
Does Philadelphia treat Todd Rundgren like a god, as they rightfully should?
Son, this ain't a dream no more, it's the real thing

Re: Questions for Clams
Rundgren treated like a God, yes but only in small informed circles. He's kinda under the radar, even here. And btw he is technically from Upper Darby not Philly. Btw I'm answering all your questions and posting those vids while in the fuckin supermarket.

I actually knew that. Better place to be from: Upper Darby or Media?Clams wrote:And btw he is technically from Upper Darby not Philly.

I'd say Media. Farther out, quiter better schools, nice little restaurant scene, county seat. UD is adjacent to West Philly, tough neighborhood, blue collar, rough schools, crime, etc. That said, I only live about 2 or 3 miles from Upper Darby.whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:I actually knew that. Sorry dime, I blew it on the beads that day. My bad.

Re: Questions for Clams
I actually stayed at a friend's place in Media in 89. Left work in Durham on a Friday and drove to Media. Got up on Saturday and we drove to NYC to see, of all people, Todd Rundgren at the Ritz. We drove all the way back home to NC after the Rundgren show. Slept heavily on Sunday, went to work on Monday and after work drove to Charlotte to see Lou Reed New York tour (with Mo Tucker & Half Japanese as the opener). Drove back home after show and after a few hours sleep went to work Tuesday morning. Was 23 then and could do shit like that. Now just the thought makes me tiredClams wrote:I'd say Media. Will you blame Clams if the Patriots win the Super Bowl today?

Re: Questions for Clams
Hey Clams, I'll be going to the First Unitarian Church in Philly for a show on Friday, any good bars/restaurants in that area? Yes I'm assuming you know every nook and cranny of your city.
Re: Questions for Clams
There is a shitload of places within a few blocks of there. Depends what you're looking for.njMark wrote:Hey Clams, I'll be going to the First Unitarian Church in Philly for a show on Friday, any good bars/restaurants in that area? Yes I'm assuming you know every nook and cranny of your city.

I use jamoke frequently but Beth always reminds me that here in Mississippi the more appropriate term is bubba. She says jamoke is a yankee word.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved
