Perseid Meteor Shower 2010 Showcase in the Sky on Wednesday

The Perseid meteor shower is set to light up the night sky at GTA and even far beyond. On August 13, the meteor shower will reach its peak as early in the morning. The annual event may just showcase a celestial offer to make up for what many hoped the northern lights would provide.
So if you happen to see the skies are clear on the night, the chances of a spectacular display of the Perseid meteor shower are very quite high. It was reported that astronomers estimate that 60 or more meteors could be visible each hour following sunset on the 12th of August.
The best time to watch the meteor shower will be from the late-night hours of Wednesday, August 11 on through the predawn hours of August 13.

Great shot. Unfortunately, Murphy seems to show up with his buddies Clouds and Haze every time something celestially cool is abut to happen.
Not forever, just for now.

I'm looking forward to this tonight and tomorrow. Might even set my alarm for 4:00am if it's clear out. They say the northeastern sky is where to look.

Clear skies for me last night, I even went out for a bit to look, nothing tho. I was kinda drunk...maybe I missed em.

Tonight is another night tho!

A few years back, I was on Mt Rainier watching the meteor shower. Its such an amazing place to be and then to have the meteors as an added bonus... surreal. Oh yeah, you could hear the glaciers move. No shit!

hit the beach at 4:30AM yesterday with my son, was deserted and dark, we probably saw 10 meteors each before the sun came up. very cool.
