After an abysmal season opener, Boognish United made some key transfers and is looking forward to rebounding this weekend. Lucky start for the Grasshoppers. Don't get too comfortable in first place. The brown shall rise!

I think if Rooney nets one today for Everton I will be in first place!*

*Closer examination of Milton's squad reveals that it's he who will likely be in 1st and the end of todays match.

Compare and contrast to my week, which was easily my worst in 1+ seasons and which may have doomed my entire season. Truly awful. Big decisions ahead though I'm not sure that there are many good alternatives.

One week doesn't make or break anyone in a 38 week season.

We all know that I'm no expert when it comes to professional futbol, but I think I'm on safe ground in stating that Arsenal's performance today against Liverpool was an embarrassment to the sport. It's one of those days when the conventional wisdom about why coaches/managers get fired (because you can't fire the players) might well be questioned. If I were the owner of that team I might choose not to sign any more paychecks just to see what happens.

Yeah, agree. Was enjoying the announcer's attempts to express his disgust without "crossing the line"

The highest rated MLS club is Toronto at #176. Next is NYCFC at 284. For those of you scoring at home, the difference between the top 2 MLS clubs is 108 places. Roughly speaking, when the 2 top clubs in MLS play, it's like Barcelona, the #1 ranked club and obviously first in its league, playing Rennes, the 13th best club in its league.

I was gonna post about Toronto's rank but figured no one cared about MLS

Manchester City confirm Sergio Aguero involved in car crash
From ESPN -- Manchester City have confirmed that Sergio Aguero will return to England to be assessed by club doctors after being involved in a road accident in Amsterdam. Sources told ESPN that Aguero, 29, suffered a fractured rib and could miss six to eight weeks because of the injury, which would initially rule him out for Saturday's Premier League clash with Chelsea and a crucial pair of World Cup qualifiers for Argentina next week.

Better make your trades quickly -- the deadline is in an hour!

Too bad for Man City, they looked incredible today.

Which Of These Are Real FA Cup Team Names?

as Don Trump Jr, AKA Not Ivanka, would say, I love it!

always had to chortle when riding the train past Cockfosters

Probably just a legend but when asked if he knew the way to Cockfosters, Michael Caine allegedly replied, "yeah, drink it warm!"

I had started to feel really guilty about how long it had taken me to get the cup delivered to Allison, so I broke down, flew to D.C., and hand-delivered it to her

Based on m y teams performance so far I think I must have decided that I didn't want the suspicious character on the right turning up at my house with the cup this year.

Very cool, indeed! Thanks so much for the amazing service, WWCD! Given the current 3DD EPL Fantasy Football League standings, it looks like the cup will be staying in DC for a nice long while

It was great seeing you and Jen. Hope you guys can make it back to DC for a visit sometime!

I ditch Wayne Rooney because he hasn't played in the last two fixtures and now he's got a brace and it isn't even half time.

He's bagged a treble now. I'm never watching football again.

Damn, I hate when that happens. Which is one reason I'm resisting the temptation to dump Dele Alli. I also note that J. Sterling of MCI, my initially great "find" of last year who was ultimately disappointing is more or less tearing up the league but to no benefit for me as I gave up on him this season.

Arsenal - ManU was something to see today. Worth searching for and if you recorded it, watch it sooner rather than later. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about Spurs.
