Re: 3DD English Premier league Fantasy Football League
Question for commissioner Chris: if a player on one of our squads in transferred to another EPL club, do we still retain said player?
For example, let's say I have Wayne Rooney on my squad and he is transferred to Hull City. Do I retain him on my 3DD fantasy squad?

A player would remain on your squad if he were to change teams.

but only if he changes to another EPL club. If he transfers to another league (Bundasliga, Serie A, etc), do we get a free replacement?sactochris wrote:A player would remain on your squad if he were to change teams.

I'm not 100% sure about that. I believe that you do.

Another great Men in Blazers today. But I couldn't find any photos of Big Sam with a hat.

Indeed, but her laugh? She's the mother of dragons, yet she's still one of us.

You don't love her laugh? It's genuine as hell, just like her. She may be the most charming person aliveGang Green wrote:Indeed, but her laugh? She's the mother of dragons, yet she's still one of us.

I love love her laugh. A hardy, real, raucous laugh. I would love to hang out with her and hope she would laugh at my jokes. I meant to say:

Ah, thanks for the qualification, I thought we were gonna come to some argy bargy
All kidding aside, I find that almost the entire NBC EPL crew, including the Men in Blazers, are all pretty "real" and sincere on camera. Fairly refreshing given that most sports commentators now are so shtick heavy (looking right at you, almost everyone on ESPN)
Speaking of Men in Blazers, the breadth of the the pop culture references they make is stunning. Do you think they have a crew for that stuff or do you think those two are really that impressive?

First, I want to say that I thought Robbie Earle was a great player back in the day. I was living in England when he played for Wimbledon the renegade team of the early Premiership days the team also had Vinnie Jones, who, essentially went from thug footballer to thug actor. Robbie Earle then played for Jamaica in the 98 World Cup or as they were called the Reggae Boys. Alex Ferguson complained in an interview I read that the England team needed to keep Robbie Earle in country. Agree NBCSP has really got it going with their Premiership coverage, it's a shame they can't get the Champion league or International matches, as FOX's coverage of those is shameful.
The Men in Blazers may have a few writers, but, I think, they are the real deal. Rog, in particular, spews out pop references so fast, its stunning and funny at the same time. You can't beat their delivery and John Oliver couldn't even keep up with them. I still double over with laughter at this bit:

Actually, if you read their bio's on Wiki, they have pretty accomplished backgrounds. Davo is owns a tv production company and was involved in several projects and Rog had written all kinds of books on pop culture and is comedian Nick Kroll's brother in law. By the way, did they say Bob Bradley's stint at Swansea was shorter than Rhonda Rousey's last fight?whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:that kid was great!!!

Not a CP fan but I respect that more than someone being a frontrunner who aligns with the obvious choices

Not sure if you're aware, but Rebecca Lowe's husband is the manager of Sacramento Republic FC which might be close to where you live. I think the team is a step below MLS.sactochris wrote:I have a deep abiding love for British women in general, but Rebecca is indeed an English rose.

I did not know that! You are correct. They play in a league that is one rung below MLS. I live in Orangevale, which is about 20 miles east of Sacramento.

very aware of it. Re: 3DD English Premier league Fantasy Football League
Nope! Looking for the answer to another question (which I did not find), I came across this:sactochris wrote:whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:but only if he changes to another EPL club. I'm not 100% sure about that. I believe that you do.
Q: My player has left the Premier League. What do I do now?
A: You can leave the player in your squad, where he will continue to earn 0 points. To remove him permanently, you must use a transfer.

So, the question to which I could not find an answer:
Are we allowed to go into negative $ in our bank? Are we penalized points or do we just pay the price for having negative $?

A transfer won't go through unless you have enough money to cover the cost of the player.

Changed the team around a bit last week and bingo 99 points, mainly thanks to Mr Kane.
