3DD English Premier league Fantasy Football League

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

Changed team name again. Sorry, just joined a local Chico league and the team name has to be the same in all leagues. Changed it because I didn't want to give the impression that I'm a Spurs fan (there's a big Spurs fan in the Chico league). I don't know everyone in the Chico league and wanted to make sure AVFC was represented

Goodison Field Road is a go! I wanted to go with Leicester on the Make but it was too many characters.

If any of you lose to me, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

It's too bad that "You And Your Crystal Palace" and "Leicester Didn't Come Home Last Night and Wanda's All Irate" are too long ... both would be good team names for our 3DD League :D

Glad you decided to play this year!!

BTW, WWCD --- UR suggested "Aston Villa Ass Whuppin" but I told him that would make absolutely no sense since Aston Villa SUCKS.

I hope you all got your screen shots of the table at the end of week 1. Yes, that's right. Decent Dudes FC sits astride the top of the table like a colossus of old (tied, but still). We may never see its likes again.

ATTENTION: I was trying to check the standings of a local league in which I play but accidentally clicked "leave league" instead of "standings." There was no "do you really want to do this?" or anything, it just removed me on the spot. So be careful y'all. I have no idea if I can be reinstated. Sucks that all it takes is one quick wrong hit to get removed :(

Phew! Man City & Spurs were playing completely different games yesterday. I was shocked at the distance between the 2 squads. Spurs were most lucky to escape w/ a point, and that was before the "controversial" VAR reversal of MC's late goal.

What a difference a week makes: Chelsea's first 10 minutes today were fantastic. Of course, the next 80 weren't quite as good. But still a most entertaining match w/ the outcome in doubt until the final whistle.

all worked out in the end. Just had to get the code and rejoin the league. Didn't lose any points, which is good since I am leading that league

not what I expected to find on this board.

Hotspurs fan BEFORE they had Gareth Bale.

So I'm used to not winning the big match.

Is it too late to get in on your league?

Sacto Chris is the commissioner. You should be able to join the league, you’ll just be down three week’s worth of points

So, ok. Apparently I'm undefeated in the head-to-head league after three weeks. Related: in each week I've drawn the player who had the league's lowest point total that week. Surely this trend will continue.

Spurs lost to Newcastle. Newcastle!! And they didn't look good doing it. Ruh roh.

One of the many things I don't understand about world soccer is the transfer window. The team plays noticeably better when Christian Ericksen is on the pitch yet he is apparently in suspended animation waiting to transfer to some as yet unidentified team. Why don't Spurs sign (extend) him? What happens if he's not transferred and not extended? Why don't spurs play him more as long as they have him?

Its protecting a potential investment for Erickson. I figured as soon as he started last weekend he was off the trading block.

I was at a Winnipeg Jets practice and watched the GM pull a player right off the ice during drills. He was traded the next day.

You want nothing to go wrong.

So, you gonna join the league??? No matches this week so you've got time to get with Sacto Chris and get yourself established. You'd be only 4 weeks down, but that's nothing, you'd be able to catch Allison in no time

Phew! Spurs finally looked like Spurs even if Harry didn't score.

Hats off to Norwich. HUGE win over Man City and well deserved. They almost ran out of gas at the end, but until then they played their hearts out and played well. And congrats to me for picking up Pukki this week :) (OTOH i decided I couldn't afford Son which is already a mistake and may turn out to be a big one).

The Two Sides (or, dare I say, the duality) of Diego Maradona

hopefully someone, somewhere will seize the golden opportunity to name a fantasy squad Misrule City FC

...Maradona finally seemed to thaw. He started dancing a little. He got sassy with the crowd. It was as if a certain threshold of chaos had to be reached, and then the City of Misrule that builds itself around him everywhere he goes could begin flying together, brick by haphazard brick. When the City of Misrule appears, normal rules are suspended. Jesters become kings. The order of things turns on its head. In the City of Misrule, he knows how to carry himself.

Take me down to Misrule City
where the blow is pure
and the lines are plenty,
oh won't you please take me home, yeah yeah!

Disaster strikes Spurs. OMG that was a Champions League nightmare against Bayern today. That looked like a team that has given up. Needless to say I hope I'm wrong.

And they followed it up with a defeat to Brighton.

I'm reasonably happy after yesterdays demolition of Norwich. At one point the Villa away fans were singing 'Are you Ipswich in disguise' Ouch.
