You can't stop Wofford, you can only hope to contain them
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

Yep. They brought way more effort than Heels. We should have lost at Tennessee; these guys, like so many UNC teams before, think they can just show up and winZip City wrote:You can't stop Wofford, you can only hope to contain them
So what happened to "see you in March"?

Re: College Basketball 2015-16
in the game last night, a Heel took a shot near the basket and a Wofford player, without leaving the floor, blocked/snatched the shot right out of the UNC player's hands. One of the announcers (gotta say the broadcasting team was wretched, guess ESPN scraped the bottom of the barrel for a game so close to Christmas) said, "that was like Debo snatching a bike!" That made me nearly spit out whatever it was I was drinking

Nothing against your Heels, but man, it was fun watching clips of Ol' Roy in the post game presser. He's my most hated person in college basketball.

you watch post game press conferences? I don't even watch Roy's press conferences after winning another national championshipIowan wrote:Nothing against your Heels, but man, it was fun watching clips of Ol' Roy in the post game presser. He's my most hated person in college basketball.

That's quite a statement and I suspect your Big 12 experience influences it. But how about John Calipari? Is Rick Pitino eligible? Bobby Knight?Iowan wrote:Nothing against your Heels, but man, it was fun watching clips of Ol' Roy in the post game presser. He's my most hated person in college basketball.

It was on TV this AM.whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:you watch post game press conferences? Pitino is objectively a much worse human, but he hasn't fucked the state of Iowa in the ass like Ol' Roy has. Watching Marcus Paige go 0-3 vs. Iowa public schools in his career made me unreasonably happy. That's quite a statement and I suspect your Big 12 experience influences it. But how about John Calipari? Why blame Roy if you guys can't keep your best players in state? Seems like some misplaced angerIowan wrote:It was on TV this AM.whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:you watch post game press conferences? Zip, bless your heart. If you think that is the only reason anyone would hate the rat, you're even more clueless about college hoops than you let on

nowhere near as bad as supporting/apologizing for those involved, as many of your fellow PSU supporters did/do. But hey, I could always be wrong- maybe the joke is indeed worse than the whole shitshow itselfZip City wrote:There's no funnier jokes than child rape jokes. no more undefeated teams: Villanova (#1), Arizona State (#3), and TCU (#10) all lost conference games yesterday. #5 Texas A&M also lost

Re: College Basketball 2015-16
Earlier I texted this to Bill:
I expect Heels to lose tonight and Saturday— over 27 years of Jen’s mother visiting, Heels always lose when she visits
One loss down, one more (at UVA) to go

The Big 12 is absurd this year.
It's too bad we're in the midst of a rebuild year and won't be part of the fun. OU, WVU, TCU, and fucking Tech all look capable of ending the streak.

Just when I thought UT’s season was about to spiral outta control, they go and beat Kentucky’s ass. Nothing makes me happier than seeing John Calipari foaming at the mouth after losing to Rick Barnes every year
Turn it up to 10 and rip off the knob

I haven't actually counted, but it seems that at least half of the top 25 lost this weekend

Re: College Basketball 2015-16
doubt virtually anyone outside of CA was watching, but holy shit, Stanford-USC was a great game and had a spectacular last 5 seconds. SC had been up as much as 15 in the 2nd half, only to have Stanford claw back to even the score, and then an amazing back and forth final 5 seconds.
Hell of a weekend for Stanford against the So Cal schools, what with this thriller and beating UCLA in 2 OTs

I've seen parts of two WVU games this year, and boy do they look good. Especially love the guard play. I would hate to have to play them in the tournament.Iowan wrote:The Big 12 is absurd this year.

Well, you were right about that. What a college hoops Saturday -- UNC, Duke, Kentucky and Louisville all lost. I hate it when that happens.
