"and i quote"...

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

"Music is an indirect force for change, because it provides an anchor against human tragedy. In this sense, it works towards a reconciled world. It can also be the direct experience of change. At certain points during some shows, the reconciled world is already here, at least in that second, at that place" - Jesse Michaels

not really what you're looking for, but anything by Mitch Hedberg..namely:

I've got an oscillating fan at my house. The fan goes back and forth. It looks like the fan is saying "No". So I like to ask it questions that a fan would say "no" to. "Do you keep my hair in place?... Do you keep my documents in order?... Do you have three settings? Liar! My fan fucking lied to me. Now I will pull the pin up. Now you ain't sayin' shit."

Of course you can, and often you should.

Then your view of "duty" is far too narrow.

I think not. If "duty" means something other than its plain and ordinary meaning, then the quote is meaningless. Besides if "duty" means something more or different than its ordinary meaning, why would they give out awards for acting above and beyond the call of duty?
