Fantasy Football 2015

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

Fantasy Football 2015

Post by olwiggum »

I need to go back and see who all played last year. I want to give priority to the folks that were in the league then. Then I'll fill empty slots as needed.

20 bucks or a 6 pack of your favorite beer again? I could use a couple more Pliny's , Bovine. ;)

Been awhile since I played FF here or anywhere else,
But I would love to play if you end up needing a player to fill out the roster.

Bovine
ScottyC
Olwiggum
Grapico
Clams
LBRod
Tequila Cowboys
Rawkshow
Rlipps
Tinnitus

Looks like that's who we had last year. Would be great to just renew the league without having to re-invite everybody.

I'd like to push the draft back to within a few days of the regular season as possible. Week 3 of pre-season is this weekend and lots of starters will be going 3 quarters and folks have been going down with ACL tears like flies, so the longer we wait, the better.

I'm thinking Tuesday the 8th or 9th? I'm going to PM the other folks that are not listed in bold. Bold names have agreed to play this year.

And I still think I deserve a Pliny for setting all of this up. ;)

Bold names above are in. Underlined names are out.

TC is stepping away from FF this year.

Still waiting to hear from the others on the list. I sent everyone PMs yesterday.

I realized after I posted this that I have a draft at 7 on the 8th as well so there's probably not a good time to squeeze another one in that night between what me and Tinnitus already have scheduled.

Can we all make 7 PM Central work on the 9th?

Fine by me since I'll be watching the computer pick for me. Can Bovine be home by 5:00?

Ok,
I went ahead and renewed the league with everyone except TC. I'll follow up with the people that haven't responded yet. They'll also get an email that the league is renewed (as should the rest of you that have already agreed to play).

I also went ahead and set the draft for Wednesday the 9th at 7 PM CENTRAL.

I think we had 8 teams last year. Any chance we can bump up to 10?

We had 10 last year.
With TC out, we have 9.
PeterG wants in if we have a spot but I probably need to wait a couple of days and see if the folks who haven't responded yet want in. If I don't hear from them by Sunday, I may need to cut them so we can get the teams at an even number or email Peter if we still need the extra person. We just can't go in the draft with an odd number.

EDIT: Reminders have been sent to the 3 remaining people that haven't confirmed yet.

I propose having return yardage added to the scoring. Any objections?

I am in. Just got the email and have set it up. I am good with whatever settings everyone agrees with. Look forward to donating again this year.

Shouldn't you wait until after the draft to see whether you get any good kick and punt returners before suggesting that we change the rule? You're really getting soft in your old age, Bovine.

Could it be on a different page? Or maybe there's a separate list of custom scoring options?

Found it. I'm an idiot. I made it the same point system as receiving yards.
