I watch SoA but am of the opinion that a better biker series is yet to be written.

My brother gets out of jail on May 7th. He's not a criminal, he was just guilty of having too much pot, you know, cause the cops were weighing it. Anyways, he started watching this in jail but has only seen Season 3 episodes. I got the first two seasons for him and plan to watch it with him after he comes home. Hope it's as good as I hear!

I think Treme is starting to really grow on me, granted i wasnt as down on it at first like most of everyone else here. Seems like David Simon's shows always take awhile with people.

me too ~ caught both episodes over the weekend. Didn't start getting into it until 3/4's of the way thru the first ep. Now, I'm looking forward to #3.

Breaking Bad continues to be brilliant, many people have complained about Season 3, but I've found it to be the same great quality as seasons 1 and 2. Last night's episode was fantastic.

Breaking Bad is fucking awesome and last night's episode was insane. Can't tell you how many times that show has had me white-knuckled. Never seen a show create so much tension.

And making any kind of decision about any even semi-intelligent show after one episode is silly. David Simon is the best there is and anybody who's seen the Wire should know that there is development with his characters that requires some investment. Even so, the first ep of Treme was plenty engaging on it's own.

getting caught up via DVD to Mad Men. All I can say is that any time one brings a riding John Deere into the office, things will never, ever end well

I won't argue with that, but until then we're stuck with SamCro

That was the episode that aired after BB last night. Mad Men is every bit as good as Breaking Bad. If not better. Roger Sterling is the best character on TV.

I wish it had been Pete Campbell who got John Deered

And is it just me, or is Don Draper THE television character most worthy of being beaten to within an inch of his life?

That distinction belongs to his wife. By another woman, of course, not a man. Maybe Joan. Or Peggy after smoking rat poison.

I won't argue with it being Betty or Peggy, but not my Joan!

Can you articulate your issues with it any better than that? The show has barely even started. Waaaayyyy too early to call that putt. Especially, considering the David Simon's history with developing characters and story arcs.

tortoise beats the rabbit every time.

posted this before i saw episode 3....watched it last nite. really good. i can't defend my argument anymore. i will own it....i think i am back on board.

big david simon fan. loved the wire. had extremely high expectations for treme.

early episodes seemed to be filled with every nola stereotype in the book. a little too much steve zahn for my taste.

seemed to find it's purchase with me last nite. regained my attention and hopes with the final scene of the tour bus leaving treme.....excellent episode.

Glad to hear that Dime. I haven't seen EP3 yet, but this show looks fantastic to me, so far. From what I've read the location shooting is authentic. I can't believe the state of New Orleans still. The music is amazing, and the story arcs have me sucked in already. Really looks like a winner...."how's your house"? (disclaimer...I watch very little TV) The Wire...best show ever.

That is because when it comes down to it Draper is a coward and a fraud. He manipulates to his own benefit, the path of destruction he leaves is beyond his own comprehension. He is a small self serving creature. He is less than a man.

Edited to include The Midnight Special and SNL (I prefer the Belushi and Eddie Murphy Years)

Edited again because I forgot Little House on the Prairie. I just need to stop now and check myself in to tv rehab
