Me and Ava Grace, born 4/20/2010. She is doing great. They got the IV and feeding tube out of her nose and will be home with us very soon. I hate leaving her at the hospital, but her mother and I saw her for about six hours today, and will see her everyday till she gets home.

Thanks for the pic - she's a cutie!!
Not quite the same, but when a friend first saw our older son in the NICU w/ his eyes covered by makeshift sunglasses, she immediately said that "The Future's So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades" (more or less a current song at the time) was clearly his theme song. That notion helped get us thru some tough, anxious moments, so hopefully you'll find your equivalent "mantra"

hey, so I did find a picture-thread on here (re: my post in the NC). this is probably a bad idea, but whatever
uh, here's the one I use as my facebook profile pic nowadays...it's from a couple of weeks ago so I'm not really that pale anymore, and I don't know if you can tell but I'm about to fall asleep in that pic (thus the shades) and it's about one in the afternoon
and here's one from about two am, and luckily it's not a close-up because I've had a bit too drink
this one's from earlier that night...never a good idea to stand too close to the camera when someone's using flash :/ wait, that's not the same night...that's two nights before. I think.
