Thats great mg! really happy for you guys. Oh, and, FYI that whole "scared to death" thing never really goes away. Enjoy!
Reluctantly, our hero rises to the day, with a moan and a curse to an absent God.

Re: Pictures of you
The beautifulness of the babies/kids/spouses/significant others/pets/you name it/etc generated by everyone on this site - we're really just a bunch of derelict DBT fans if you think about it - is just mind boggling.

Right-on Clams. Pictures in this thread and the pets thread have warmed my cold-black-heart so many times.
Re: Pictures of you
The thing that cracks me up about the members here - all passionate, gritty, down-to-earth DBT fans - is that we also hard working, family-oriented people, growing up and doing our best to make it... while staying true to our angst ridden rock and roll youth.
Not forever, just for now.

Re: Pictures of you
Thanks! I love that one too. This was last summer on vacation at St. George Island, FL. Allorah was about 14 months; first trip to the beach since she could walk. The tide was out and the water was only a few inches deap for about 50 yards off the shore. She just had a blast out there. I love how you can just see the wheels turning in her head as she experiences something new.

Re: Pictures of you
So i e-mailed the same pic to the DBT guy or gal that runs their facebook page and they were nice enough to put it up on their "kids are allright" photo album. Cool beans. Channing is doing great, with the exception of her reflux. I'm told that most premies have this, but man it's rough. Basically she "spits up" (aka pukes) a lot. I've never done this much laundry in my life. I am happy to report that she continues to gain the amount of weight that she's supposed to gain, so outside of being an annoyance it's not really a "concern". We'll keep an eye on it. Channing went for her first "walk" on Saturday with Trucker and us. We only went a couple of blocks but she seemed to enjoy it.

Re: Pictures of you
Great news MG. I'm glad to hear she's doing great. As for the reflux, I have been fortunate in that department, but my brother had tons of issues with it with his triplets. And then they just grew out of it. Good luck getting to that point, man. And thanks for the updates.

Re: Pictures of you
Just found this one posted by a friend on FB. Actually somewhat proud of this one. Chicken legs laid out in a kiddie recliner, beer in one hand, the other in my pants (nursing gut), watching what appears to be Aristocats...classy...

Scratch, u go to London and all we get are pics of freakin' Canary Wharf??!!!!
Was that the London Marathon? Pls tell us u did some fun things even if u didn't take pics of them. And i can't believe u went to London w/out asking me about restaurants
Nice pic, PL. Can't tell where that is, but might it be, well, beantown?
Nice life, GMU! Don't know if i've ever seen a kiddie recliner before, but w/out a doubt an idea whose time has come.

Yeah I had never seen one either. This was at my brother-in-law's house on Lake Weiss. Maybe its an Alabama thing. Smitty? Or maybe they just entertain lots of midgets...Who is it with the phobia, Lurleen? Man that would be creepy to find one hiding in your normal sized recliner. You should get one so if a little person comes to visit you, you can keep up with him....I kid, I kid....

I didn't want to be all stealth bragging. Honestly, I couldn't believe I was actually there.
Unfortunately, it was a work trip so I spent most of my time in and around Canary Wharf. The marathon ran right through there too. BUT I did manage to steal a day and visit the British Museum, a bunch of book shops and a fantastic dim sum place. Next time I go, hoping there is a next time, I will be ABSOLUTELY sure to ask you for some tips.

Re: Pictures of you
Doing the Heisman pose w/a watermelon back in college. I think we got in line to tailgate @ 5:30AM, and partied until kick off @ 7PM. Good times.
Malfunctioning Wal-Mart light in Northern Texas. We were driving straight en route to visit some a buddy in Houston and go to the A&M/ISU football game. My name's Al, so I thought it was sort of funny to get a shot @ Al-Mart.
At the bar my buddy works at in Iowa City. As you can tell, my girlfriend loved the idea of this picture getting taken!
My cousin and I at a house party a couple years ago.

I'm thinking it was more your sweaty mug than the pic that she was reacting to, Iowan
Scratch, where'd u go for dim sum? FWIW, for me travel talk's not about stealth bragging, just a really fun thing to do, the next best thing to being there. Tho' i guess you're right that there's always a line
