Unofficial DBT fans' Video Game thread!

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

Unofficial DBT fans' Video Game thread!

Post by Son of Swamp »

Hey guys and gals, i know some of you play video games (don't lie!), so what is everyone playing? What are you looking forward to?

Myself, I have been playing a lot of Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii (its kinda like those hunting games, except instead of deer and bears, you fight large terrible dragon type creatures that put up a fight)
Also, I keep on playing World of Warcraft.

Other games i've been dabbling in include Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Im really looking forward to Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Cribbage, Farkle, not that big on the other types of video games. Couldn't even make it around the training course without drowing Lara Croft in her own swimming pool

I am a fabuouls Wii bowler, though.

the Wii definitely has some great games. Also a great way to get the whole family to play what with Wii Sports and Wii resort. The Motion controls on some of the games make it very simple, no one has to worry about which buttons do what. Just swing the wii-motes around and have fun! Drunken Wii-Bowling anyone?

I have an unhealthy obssession with Wii Sports Baseball. Game gets damned hard when you get up to "pro" level, though.

Other than that, I don't have as much time for games as I'd like. I have an xbox 360, but haven't used it for games since Batman: Arkham Asylum came out.

I am awesome at the Wii boxing, but people say I am a little too agressive with it.

I was playing this one Dude and all of a sudden I realized he had stopped and was just staring at me.

Dude: "WTF look at you man, you really get into boxing" he wouldn't play with me anymore.

Also my brother and are banned from playing Monoply (board version), we suffer from high levels of competitivness. Plus no one will play with us, as we have a tendancy to wipe everyone out in about 30 minutes. Then we go after each other, for a few hours, till there is blood dribbling down someone's chin

i dont play Monopoly with a certain friend of mine, because he makes deals with the devil on dice rolls, and somehow always gets them. I witnessed once he needed a 12 and he was rolling the dice in his hands. He said "hey devil, i need a 12, it'd be really cool if you helped me right now!" then he rolled his eyes back and made this weird sound and rolled a 12.

I will buy a PS3 when the new MoH set in Afghanistan is released.

I've played a lot of Doom and Quake but havent played much of anything lately. got out of the habit of it.
I've never taken a pissbreak during a DBT show but if I had it would have been during Dancing Ricky.

I play yes. Right now I'm working through Alan Wake (awesome), but my to-do list has Mario Galaxy 2, No More Heroes 2, Megaman 9/10, God of War III, and probably a couple others I'm forgetting on there. XboxLive: End03 (zero-three at the end there) if anyone needs a session RockBand axe handler / warbler.
The real question is where everyone ranks story / style / gameplay in relation to each other. Personally, I'll put style / story about equal and both typically above gameplay.

Will DBT be putting out any more songs for Rock Band?

I can't decide which one(s) would be the awesomest to include on the next release.

I go through phases of playing games. I have an xbox 360, but haven't touched it in probably damn near a year. Occasionally I find something stupid on the ipod that gets my attention for a while to pass the time. I guess I'm just getting old.
