RIP George

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

I think Zip means... he ruined baseball by paying high salaries. Putting the cost on the everyday man, through high dollar ticket prices and concessions.

I mean he built popularity of the sport by building a winner out of a storied franchise (that was terrible when he bought the team).

The amount he pays in luxury tax pays for the entire payroll of some teams.

He never held his city or it's tax payers ransom for a publicly financed stadium

He never sold out to a corporation to slap a company logo on the outside of a historic ballpark

He invested a ton of money into scouting and recruiting and built the foundation of his dynasty teams through the draft and minor leagues

He basically invented the regional cable sports network

He didn't buy the team to simply add a line item to his investment portfolio
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever
