Late again. Navy already had 3 before it uploaded.

As he ran away he dropped Jackson the mule,
so it's official, Lieske picks Navy.

Horrible news about Mike Leach. Hope he is okay and recovers. Colorful guy and mad genius of a football coach.

Despite everything the NCAA does to fuck up the sports it supervises, somehow the players persevere and the games eventually win out. Last nite's 2 semifinals were wildly entertaining and chock full of great players making great plays. Of course they also had their fill of bad calls (e.g. Michigan's first would be touchdown) and bad coaching (Jim Harbaugh, too many examples to mention).

I hope Ohio State's kicker doesn't suffer too badly for his last miss. That's the kind of "character building" exercise nobody needs.

Great games indeed, but what happened to the concept of defense???

Big scores pretty common in bowl game season. I think part of the problem is these teams sit for basically a month between games. You can practice but that'll only get you so far. Maybe things will improve with the new playoff format. I enjoyed both games yesterday though. They certainly weren't dull. Rooting for Georgia because I have a bunch of friends who are UGA fans. Sidenote: watch out for my UW Huskies next year. They ended up 11-2 this year (4-8 last year). Looks like they struck gold with the new coach. Most of the players will be back next season including the ones who could've left. Penix should be a legitimate Heismann candidate.

Yeah the Nits played well yesterday. Good riddance to Sean Clifford who was in the program for 6 consistently average season. Bring on the Drew Allor era. Looking fwd to at least two great seasons of Allor at QB playing with a backfield of tailbacks Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton. Would be nice if DC Manny Diaz sticks around for a while too.

There was a time when real college football (SEC) was the love of my life.
But with the sec so watered down these days I doubt I'll be able to watch,
much less comment on how much Georgia sucks.

Hey swamp. Good to see ya. Are you going to Isbell in St. Augustine tonite?

I'm glad to hear you say this. If I need to read the Wall St Journal to follow my sports, there's not much point in following those sports and the business formerly known as major college football (now more than ever, go Bantams!) now meets that definition. I don't know what to call it but it sure ain't fun or interesting.

How about that off season?

I hate what’s happening to the sport, but the Big 12 being god damn Michael Meyers for the 8 millionth time was really satisfying after 15 years of the national media trying to bury us.

Due to covid I prefer outdoor shows. Due to the heat, no. Also the tree people
were supposed to finally come and lift the tree off the house. They didn't show.

I hate it too, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t really enjoy the Pac 12 eating lead after they tried to kill us in 2010 and scoffed at helping us in 2021. Those blowhards got their just deserts.

Bittersweet start to the season with this most likely being the last of the PAC 12. I wonder how this is good for the student athletes.

Blah blah transfer portal blah blah, but there is simply no reason that Miami, FSU and UF should ever be bad. They are sitting in a state lousy with elite football talent
