college football 2014/2015/2016/2017/2018/2019

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

Back to Gus real quick. I read today that he won't allow Nick Marshall to train under George Whitfield. This is a smart move.
I'm not a believer in the guy, for one. Also, Malzahn is simply of the opinion that it can get the QB to think just the way he thinks. It makes sense to me.
Tajh Boyd worked with Whitfield two summers, and both times Chad Morris would complain about Boyd's play and footwork early in fall camps.
Morris and malzahn are very close, so I can see them discussing Whitfield with each other. I hope Morris and Swinney take Malzahn's approach in the future.

Absofuckinlutely! Plus, Marshall is not a typical QB. He is much more of a gifted runner that can throw (kind of). Malzhan (and/or his position coach) should be the only ones in his ear. Whether you believe in Whitfield or not is beside the point. Marshall is under scholarship at Auburn and runs Malzahn's offense. Rather than learn some outsider's footwork or mechanics, he should be honing the techniques, reads, and expectations Gus has for him.

At least it's an unregistered vehicle. No license sticker in lower left.(could be the front plate I guess) I only noticed b/c I was trying to find a way that it is photo shopped or something.
I'm only human, though I'm super at times.

In the midst of threatened unionization and more certainly a new order coming to college athletics the NCAA comes up with...meals and unlimited snacks. You could not make this up.

Gotta love that SEC.

Apparently rivalries no longer develop over time based on history, geography, grudges, bad calls, controversial finishes, etc etc. Now you're a rivalry if the SEC says so. Like, say, Texas A&M v. South Carolina. Say WHAT?

And LSU gets the hosing of a lifetime, apparently for a lifetime. Or perhaps it's Florida which get hosed. Either way it's a serious competitive disadvantage.

The Big 10 has done the same thing. Iowa and Purdue are official rivals. I think both fanbases would tell you that it's completely manufactured.

LSU has been voicing some displeasure with the SEC for awhile now. I wonder if that might start to fester over time. I think that conferences getting bigger and bigger is eventually going to blow up on itself.

Among the missing evidence, lawyers said, are:

• the majority of more than 27,000 messages and 220 calls on the alleged victim's phone, of which just 47 calls or texts were provided to the defense;

• text messages between Vandenburg and the alleged victim, as well as between him and former wide receiver Chris Boyd and co-defendant Cory Batey;

• text messages and phone records from three team staff members — former head coach James Franklin, former director of performance enhancement Dwight Galt, and associate director of athletics Kevin Colon;

• texts and social media posts from players and the victim's friends;

• police interview records with a close acquaintance of the alleged victim;

• DNA test results from another man;

• an interview with the girlfriend of former starting quarterback Austyn Carta Samuels; and

• other police notes and medical records.

Seems like a lot of missing evidence

Quite the opposite. If there's an implication that Franklin is hiding any of that evidence, this is a major problem.

Jim Brown: Arguably the greatest running back in the history of the NFL. Inarguably as stand up a guy as they come. "Reprehensible." Great word.
