This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

Seriously though, glad to put winter in the rear view. If we can be planting by April 1, I'll make the First Ave and englert shows.
It's weird, we probably only have an inch or two in my front yard. Compared to last winter where I had several feet this is odd. I'm hoping for a good thaw and then a rainy spring.
Last spring it was so wet that I canoed portages and this year I'll be happy if the water's even moving.
Yeah, here in the chippewa valley area we've hardly gotten any. Last year we got so much I had to buy a roof rake, this winter I've shoveled maybe 3 times total.
The Driftless is down from last year in term's of snowfall, but the ditches have been full since November, and the there's a good 2 feet in my front yard. I've probably shoveled 6-8 times this year.
Canoeing should be good, but last April there was a day where a buddy and I did 25 miles on the Upper Iowa in 5 hours, and that included stopping in the one town we paddled through and having beers and burgers at the bar there.
5 degrees tonight. I live in Tennessee, it's March, and it's gonna be 5 fucking degrees tonight. Memphis is gonna break the daily record low by 12-15 degrees. March snow is not extremely uncommon here, but these temps are goofy. The sun has come out and some of the snow on the roads has started to melt, but we are looking at ice rinks around here tonight.

It was -10 when I woke up this morning. But for Tennessee 5 does seem nuts.
It always amazes me how powerful the sun is. We had snow in parking lots melting day, and it was 9 degrees.

I spent a lot of time working in the midwest, mainly Wisconsin, and that radiant heat always amazed me too. We deal with single digits, but this March single digit stuff is bullshit. I am gonna get another day off work because of it, though.
It's been a colder than average week, but we're suppose to be in the 80's next week, which means at this pace we'll spend most of July and August in the 90's-100's range. You have to love the 130 degree swings we get in a year. 2 years ago we got a foot of snow the second week of May. A week later it was 100. There were still snow pile remnants in large parking lots, and somewhere I have a picture of a thermometer reading 100 degrees with the giant snow pile in the background.

I remember that blizzard. Worst storm I've ever driven through. I was headed north and they stopped plowing I35 because it was snowing too fast for the plows to keep up. I put my Toyota in 4wd and just aimed for the center of the white area flanked with pine trees. I'll be happy if I never do that again.
I came home on Sunday to temperatures that were well below 0 degrees F. Monday it got into the 20's and it snowed some. Enough to notice but not a huge amount. Today the temps reached into the 50s. It also rained a fair amount. I mean, WTF?
What used to be is gone and what ought to be ought not to be so hard
Got off a plane from southwest Florida on Saturday to roughly 0F. Sunday night we flirted with -20F, then it snowed 6", then it rained, then we topped out at 53F, the it REALLY rained and now my basement is flooded.
I'll take a solid polar vortex over this crap any year.

supposedly the Sierra snowpack is doing great this winter, but down here in the valley it seems that all the talk about El Nino is just that so far: talk
Son, this ain't a dream no more, it's the real thing

By the time my plan to ditch the family a little early was coming together all three nights were sold out.

You obviously need to work on your deviousity reaction time. Or as somebody said last wkend, buy tickets first, figure it out later.
