What's Everyone Drinking?

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

my friend Zak asked me to burn him a couple of DBT webcasts. He works at Sierra Nevada and was stopping by after work to get the discs, so I asked him to bring a few beers. I was expecting 2-3 beers but dude shows up with a mixed case of Tropical Torpedo, Pale, and Celebration!!!

I had one last night and dug it. Really approachable and crushable IPA. SN is my favorite large craft brewer these days. I've always been a big New Belgium guy on that front, but SN is starting to pull away.

New Belgium has never really clicked fully with me. Have had a handful of tasty things (the Lips of Faith series and a few others) from them but they would almost never be my first option. Especially Fat Tire, not a fan of that one at all. I don't even think they are the best brewery in Ft. Collins, I would give that to O'Dells. Too bad O'dells is almost never found out here

They were one of the first highly respected craft breweries to send their full line up to Iowa, and then my wife and I toured their facility in 2011 and it was such a good time that I kind of fell for them. Plus, Mighty Arrow was the beer that got me hooked on hops.

O'Dell is great as well.

The actual date was 1/17/13 but I always associate MLK weekend with HC's of past and some of the best times ever.
That combined with the MM and I couldn't help thinking of that performance of Thundercrack.

I was at that show. It was my first Homecoming. They were having so much fun playing those Springsteen songs.

Had this last night on tap and it was excellent! Went great with the place where I had it cranking X/Blasters and showing Dirty Harry on the TV

That sounds awesome!

Toppling Goliath released their two crazy sought after barrel aged stouts yesterday, and all of Decorah IA was a fucking craft beer nut house. I drank so much ridiculously good beer that I can't even keep track of.

I also feel like I got hit by a truck.

a few weeks back we were at our favorite local on a Saturday afternoon. At some point our friend Matt comes in to start his shift, so they now have two people behind the bar. The woman who was there first starts telling Matt all of the beers that had run out on her shift, calling them out so he can cross them off the beer board. She's saying, "we blew the IPA, we blew this, we blew that', but then IT happened: she yells out, "I blew the Backwoods Bastard"

It was hands down the closest I have ever come to having beer spray out of my nose

damn straight!!!

too bad the Goose spelled it "Le Terrior" on their board

they more than make up for the bad spelling by listing San Diego beers as being from "Whale's Vagina"
