What's Everyone Drinking?

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

They have a line of beers named after conspiracy theories, and when we were there Saturday they had Denver Airport IPA (the Denver airport conspiracy is fuckin' insane!!!). In the past other beers in the series were Chemtrails and Frozen Envelope (CT related to NBA draft when Knicks got Ewing).

After watching Sharp Objects last night I'm suddenly in the mood for straight vodka, bourbon, and amaretto sours.
Kick out the jams motherfuckers.

finally got to try something else from this brewer (had MO Pale Ale before and that rocked!) and this one does NOT disappoint.

last night was one of my favorite days of the year, the day of the first Celebration Ale of the year! It was just released and tasting heavenly on draught at the brewery

I love me some Celebration, but that seems early.

No booze here until the soybeans are out. I'm working about 20 hours per day and will for another week or so, weather depending.

They release it around this time every year. I does seem odd on our end to be drinking Cele when it's nearly 90 degrees, but I can't resist!

So I guess that makes you one of those "soy boys" that the MAGA chuds are always talking about

I wonder how a 2009 Celebration Ale would taste in 2018? :ugeek:

fuckin' awful

Do you remember that place I used to stay out of Fulton in SF? Those folks weren't drinkers and didn't know shit about beer. They had no idea it goes bad. So we are visiting them years ago and they said someone had left a six of Celebrations and offered them to me. Took one sip and literally nearly puked. They didn't tell me that they were nearly two years old and that they had been stored at room temperature.

One of my college friends stopped by work last week on his way back from his daughter's lacrosse tournament in Central Massachusetts. He gifted me a baker's dozen beers from his Treehouse stop, including 5 of these tasty treats. Lives up to the hype.

Is it the real deal?

Beware Florida-made Sue and/or insanely old product. Iowa-made TG comes in a box. Florida-made has plastic can holders on top of the 4 pack.

Frankly, I was pretty shocked they decided to take on the New England market. As important as freshness is with hoppy beers, I'm not sure how you can match the freshness of the excellent local offerings in that area when you're shipping the beer halfway across the country.

Came in a box, has "Best by 1/18/19" stamped on the bottom of the can and tastes pretty damn good to me.

Good deal. I'm sure I'll be knocking back a few TG products over the holiday.

I had a couple 16 oz Natty Light's last night because I found myself at the American Legion, in St. Ansgar, Iowa and when in Rome....

Craft beers are great but it's fun to get down and dirty every now and then.

Absolutely. And as I've grown to understand beer/brewing, I've found that cheap adjunct lagers aren't nearly as bad as I had always thought - at least the ones distributed on a major basis. There's a time and place.

That said, there are a handful of breweries in Wisconsin and Minnesota that make the absolute cheapest, swilliest shit beer I've ever had. It all tastes like metallic grape jelly. Brands like Gluek, Beer 30, KuL, Hiland, and Mountain Creek. I don't think you can even find it outside of the Upper Midwest, and thank god for that. Just pure trash.
