I'm somewhat surprised this thread doesn't already exist and my guess is a lot of this could probably be applied to the WTF thread but I thought we really needed a collective cesspool for exceptional acts committed by Homo Sapiens Ridiculi. (A subspecies of human quickly out populating the rest of us in western society.) So I'll start this little sideshow...
A while back on FB, I 'Liked' CMT in order to watch a video of Jason Isbell that actually made its way onto the networks online outlet. Mistake. Now nearly daily i get posts such as the following:

A few years ago every other song was about the "country boy" luring the sofisticated "city lady" in with his downhome country ways.

I don't know who those fellas up top are but I was recently brought to tears of laughter when I stumbled upon my first Montgomery Gentry video.
They're like the love child of a pro wrstelr and an Elvis impersonator. Shame I can only fit half of that big photo. It's a real peach.

I know Cross Canadian Ragweed is considered part of the "red dirt crowd" and I would have to say they are not even on the same page.

Very thin.
Dierks Bentley is the link.
In all fairness, Ragweed/Stoney Larue/Wade Bowen & the like are miles better than these fuckheads, but this is the commercialization of the "red dirt" genre.

Supermarionation is alive and well.
You're all familiar with original Thunderbirds, Joe 90, Supercar, Fireball XL5 (the pioneering work of Gerry Anderson....) fuck it. Jokes are so not funny if you have to explain them.
THEY LOOK LIKE THUNDERBIRD PUPPETS IS ALL.
I've never taken a pissbreak during a DBT show but if I had it would have been during Dancing Ricky.

Montgomery Gentry - very popular mainstream country group. Just watch the CMAs. Fit right in here along with the other Otters. Garth Brooks does look good now. I guess that's may be why he got out of the "business". Friends in low places, indeed.

Well, what can you say? Bad taste in guitars = bad taste in music (,life and everything). It's as simple as that (I think).
