The last time the New York Yankees were swept 4-0 in the play-offs, Alabama was defending national champions and ranked #1, just as they are this year. When they played Mississippi State that year, as they do tonight, they were beaten.

There is not much worse in the world than losing to Mississippi State.

I do gotta give props to Jack Cristal, the Mississippi State announcer who was just retired this year by cancer after calling Mississippi State for over 60 years. I also remember liking John Bond, the State quarterback, solely because he was a long-haired rock and roll freak.
