This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

65 years ago today, United States military veteran Jackie Robinson showed immense courage -and baseball talent- as he broke the white man barrier in the the major league nation's pastime.
Here he is stealing home against the Yankees in the 1955 World Series, and Yogi Berra is not pleased:

40 years ago today:
Bowie Kuhn throws out the first pitch at Shea Stadium to start the 1972 Major League Baseball season. Mets vs. Pirates with new New York manager Yogi Berra all smiles. First batter is Renny Stennett, against Tom Seaver. My hero Ed Kranepool is at first. Announcer notes that one year earlier, Seaver beat Doc Ellis (but makes no mention of LSD):

LSD is not mentioned here: Excellent baseball interview broadcast on Mississippi public radio yesterday with former and sometimes Oxonian John Grisham about his new baseball novel:

That boy should have stayed in the minor league:
At 7pm, Albert Pujols regrets coming over to the big-boy league, as tonight he has to play against the 27-time World series Champions NEW YORK YANKEES in YANKEE STADIUM.

Yesterday, on the 50th anniversary of the first no-hitter thrown in Delta State (the Mississippi delta team that knows a thing or two about national championships) history, the Fighting Okra threw a perfect game against New Orleans:
