Get down on your knees before the GREEN BAY PACKERS!
Last year, the Super Bowl was on February 6th. This year, the game is on February 5th.
That means the 13-time National Football League and current Super Bowl champion GREEN BAY PACKERS are going to win two Super Bowls within one year!
Suffering with them through the 1970s and 1980s now seems so far away in the past...

All you packer haters can go stomp each others' mudholes.
When you see what happens when they step it up for the playoffs, you'll be chowin' on crow pot pie (and not the good Slobberbone version either!).

The Packers played pathetically today.
Both sides of the ball.
I think the 49ers are gonna smoke the Giants like a cheap cigar next week.

What a dark and horrible night that was for America. We must pull together as a people and look forward to the GREEN BAY PACKERS summer raining camp.
Thank God it was the red-and-blue bleeding son of Ole Miss who had a magnificent game and slowed the Packers: Mr. ELI MANNING.

Eli is a Yank now and the Giants will be playing the Pats in an all Yank Super Bowl.

Yeah, when I was in New York for a few weeks for the last homestand at old Yankee Stadium, I wore an Ole Miss t shirt every day. Three times at The Stadium, New York guys walked up to me, pointed at my shirt and asked, "Did you know that's where Manning went to school?"

That's a great story, my only complaint is that you were going to see the Yankees instead of the Mets. Of course, if you were going to see the Mets, you would have been the stadium by yourself. Maybe the hot dog vendor and the guys selling year books would have said something about your shirt. But, yes, even as a Jet fan I have to acknowledge two of our best quarterbacks, one being the most important football player of all time, were products of a southern institution.

Mets were in town at start of the Yankees homestand, against the Braves. Saw them the first or second night, as there was a day game at Yankee Stadium. Second time I had seen games at both stadiums in one day, first time was in 1989.
I pointed out to those guys both starting quarterbacks in New York (at the time were) from Mississippi.

Okay, Eli Manning and...who? Oh, you're referring to the guy who made a mockery of the Jets by tanking the second half of the 2008 season because he was too busy sexting sideline female reporters? I want my $80 back for the number 4 Jersey with that certain person's name on the back that I bought at Jets training camp in 2008. I'll just say I have great respect for Eli and his dad Archie, both products of Ole Miss and both do the state proud.
Last time I saw a game in New York was in 1989 at Shea Stadium against the Reds. Rob Dibble drilled Tim Tueffal in the back with one of his 100 mph fast balls, then there was a bench clearling brawl. Then when we were driving out there was a fight in the parking lot. That was the last time my wife went with me to a baseball game.

23 years ago today was a great day for America:
Don Majkowski's 41 seconds left, 4th down, 4th quarter touchdown pass to Sterling Sharpe, originally penalized for the quarterback being over the line of scrimmage, is reviewed and reversed, giving the Green Bay Packers a 14-13 win over the Bears.
