3DD NC

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

The eyebrows! :o

Once again raises the questions of who puts in the time to create so many of these impressive, surprising, original and often funny works that have no commercial or other lasting value and .where they get their inspiration from. I'm glad they're out there and I'm glad they're expressing their creativity so, well, creatively, but I'm always amazed by the creative impulse and impressed by the time that some people are willing to put into mastering obscure skills.

Some friends and I used to get together once a week to put together model cars (or airplanes or monsters or whatever have you). We dubbed our collective Brew 'N' Glue: It was mainly an excuse to drink beer, listen to records, eat carry out pizza, and otherwise cling to immaturity. But we put more effort into (and probably got more fulfillment from) the totally worthless activity of crafting models than we did our day jobs. Which is the point, probably, and why people devote time and energy to memes and .gifs and other online ephemera.
Our motto was "I would never work this hard for money."

I wanna be part of Brew 'N' Glue despite the fact I suck at, nor care about, model cars. When's the next meeting, scotto?

^^^ Alas, this was many years ago when I lived in KC and we were all either recently divorced, still single, or simply irresponsible partners. Sure was a ball, though.

Ok, I’m going to go old school NC on y’all but you’re going to have to work for it. Google this: Peter Piper Pecker Puffer.

You’re welcome or I’m sorry. Take the one of your choosing.

It was a Todd Snider fan page, naturally.
