This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

I do now, not when I was 17
as an aside, one of the local telcos has Iggy fronting its latest ad campaign. the pitch is "You're a musician, go online and record your part (bass, drums, guitar) and Iggy will sing along. Hope he got a lotta money out of it. It is of course "The Passenger"
I like who's showing up here. Chicken rice and vodka lemonade here booze is booze. I don't really care if I'm buzzed. I'm happy. could use less pants though.

That I did. Really enjoyed both of them although I preferred the regular pale ale...too bad they're really expensive around here.
I can't even imagine what you had to pay, or how old the beer is...
Well, between 3 and 3,50 USD for a 35 cl bottle. Usually it's 2 or so, at least for the drinkable stuff, there's some really terrible shit for about one too.
Bells is THE beer we can't get out west and I'm dying to have it. Amongst all my beer geek friends this is the one everybody talks about. Can't wait for our summer roadtrip so I can pick some up. Hopefully I'll find Three Floyd's out there in hinterlands as well
Back in the day, Coors was THE beer in the East, basically because it wasn't available. Folks would come back from trips out West raving about this great beer and it took on mystical qualities. Of course the choices were a lot fewer then, but the dynamic is still the same. I've never tasted Bell's Ale, so I'm just sayin' that in general, beware of the hype.
What used to be is gone and what ought to be ought not to be so hard
Bells is the shit, Beantown. If you're ever in Kalamazoo, MI stop by and have a few. Really along with New Glarus in WI, Bells is my favorite Midwest brewer.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved

Aww...the Coors mystique. I grew up in Arkansas right on the border with Oklahoma, and there was a constant stream of college students and other travelers from points east who journeyed through on a quest to load up on case after case of Coors (which was available right across the line in Oklahoma). Our local term for Coors was "piss water."

How would anyone make money if there weren't gullible eastern fancypantsers to take advantage of? It's an American tradition!

Oh I enjoyed it immensely. Basically I had three choices, no coffee, decaf or have it occasionally. I picked once a week on Saturday mornings.
Kalamazoo isn't really that bad. some surprisingly excellent restaurants there. I have family in Three Rivers and Battle Creek so I get there about once a year.

beantown: one masshole to another - I wouldn't fuck with you. Bells is just that damn good.

IMO, there is no hype in Bell's. I've drank tons and tons of micros (and there are tons I refuse to buy, that I recognized as ordinary beer with a fancy label) and it is just flat out fantastic. If you like high quality beer, it is right at the top. If you don't believe me check out Beer Advocate, ratebeer.com, etc. Its not like 5 people are saying it is top notch, it is literally 1000s.
