This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

appreciate it - I'll look for Sierra Nevada - never saw it
you're right - I dont know why I said Alan Kulwicki
Sierra Nevada is my all time favorite. I'm not as down on Sam Adams as WWCD is though. The seasonal varietals are quite good actually, just stay away from the Boston Lager.
I've never had a Sierra Nevada, never even seen it but from what's on their website of the Swedish monopoly company selling alcohol I should be able to get it...what "type" or whatever it's called is the best?

The Pale Ale is the gold standard but I like most of them.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved
Another recommendation for Sierra Nevada. As someone said earlier, their Pale Ale is THE gold standard for straight up pale ale. If you like the pleasant bitterness of that, move on up to the Torpedo Ale. Then you have their delicious seasonal IPAs, Harvest Fresh Hopped Ale and their holiday IPA, Celebration Ale. I don't think that I've ever had a bad beer from Sierra Nevada. Even their wheat beer (a style I only enjoy on 90 degree days) is very good. They blow Boulevard completely out of the water IMHO.
Thanks, from the looks of it I should be able to get my hands on the Pale Ale and Torpedo...costs about a dollar or two more than the more common stuff here, but hopefully it's worth it.
Another Sierra Nevada fan here, but i think it must be said: The draft is where it's at. The bottled is good but noticeably inferior to the draft. Not much, if anything, separates the bottles from other good IPA's, e.g. Harpoon (a local favorite).
What used to be is gone and what ought to be ought not to be so hard
Ahh, Harpoon. Their IPA was my beer of choice when we lived in NC (North Carolina, not night crew). My current favorite is the Singlewide IPA by Boulevard. If you have access to their Smokestack Series (http://www.blvdbeer.com/smokestack/), their Doublewide IPA is fekkin' great. But yeah, I agree, on tap beats in the bottle nine out of 10 times.
imagine that...walk into a dive bar and people are talking about brews. and i gotta up my posts. sheeeiiit! i could use a bucket of coldies right now. my favorite beer: Newcastle

Looks like he's more influenced by king arthur than billy williams, but awfully cute, and way cool to have that kind of visit, TC! Hope you enjoyed it (and had some mac & cheese in the pantry, or at least pb&j).

my favorite beer: Newcastle
seeing as we are discussing beer, my favorite beer: Whiskey
Well if we are going that way, my favorite beer is bourbon. Pref Wild Turkey 101, neat!!! But if I am looking for just hitting the social scene then Saphire Bombay Gin with a splash of tonic.

Not having your cell phone is even better.
I WILL screen my calls. I WILL only pick up if I want to talk with you. I MAY not respond to your message, text or smoke signal. IF you ring my office and say "I sent you a text and left a message and emailed you three minutes ago, and you havent responded, are you OK?" I WILL tell you to GF.
I fucking hate cell phones. Yes I have one.
I've never taken a pissbreak during a DBT show but if I had it would have been during Dancing Ricky.
glad to see all the love for our primary local product, Sierra Nevada. It's not my absolute favorite ever, but it is my very favorite ever that's brewed 2.5 miles from my house! And it's always rock solid; if I'm somewhere with Pale Ale I know that there is at least one good beer for me to drink. The Pale is the standard but of the things they bottle my fave is Torpedo. Well, not totally true: my real fave of what they bottle is Celebration, but it's a seasonal, starting in October and usually gone by February. I have seen places back east that have it long after it should be taken off the shelves, so beware if you buy it in the summer. I used to really like their Wheat, especially on a 105+ Chico summer day, but they changed the recipe, ruining it, and then they did away with the American-style wheat altogether and went with the Kellerweizen, which I do not like.
Son, this ain't a dream no more, it's the real thing
Good to see a T-Man sighting! She allowed the boy to have his hair cut I see
